I feel like such an Idiot!

I'd advise him to take her home if he had his own place.

Okay, now that you pick it way I will.

Yeah, I thought so,. We went back to the mcdonalds i worked at and all the guys i knew there were kinda shocked.

Then we went to the movies after that. We saw Sex Drive (it was her choice):yay: in all the things cost me close to 50 dollars in all.

There was also this one moment in the theaters. During the movie there was a romantic part and she put her hand on mine for a few seconds. and i'm just looking over without turning my head and going "whats going on?"

Were still also doing something later this weekend also.

Did you do anything to show your affection in return or did you just sit there with a dumbfounded look on your face? Cause then you should feel like such an idiot. Did you try to kiss her at all during the date, hold her hand leaving the theater? Showing no affection in return to her first move may make her think you don't really like her or that you just asked her out as a friend.

What's he supposed to do? Look her longingly in the eyes? And miss that part of the movie? :cmad:

I've never liked going to the flicks on a date. It's ok taking a girl once you know each other a lil, but as a place for the first few dates? No. You don't get to know each other very much, sitting in silence, eyes to the screen. I normally go for a coffee or to a quiet bar, where you can talk and become more relaxed and comfortable with each other.

Yea cinema is deffs not a good place for a first date IMO. It's better to wait a while untill you have got in her panties then you can have some fun in the back row! ;)

movies = great date because you don't have to talk

Pretty much echoing my initial statements but in JAL's defense, I don't think he has that many options. It's too cold to take her to a park or since he doesn't drive even taking her to a museum or some sort of show is kinda out of the question.

I don't know, maybe put his arm around her at the movie, hold her hand on the way back to the car, do something.

Yeah, because who wants to actually talk to the person you're going out with.

museums make me nauseous.

which is a shame because I like them

Best first date i ever had was taking the girl to an ice cream parlor. Granted, it was summer then, and like you said no car and bad weather certainly limit your options.

I think the nearest Zoos in that area are predominantly petting zoos. From what JAL says he lives pretty much in the middle of nowhere and without transportation, it's not like he can take her anywhere of interest. She's going to have to drive which in my opinion, kinda takes away from "taking her out".
