It's "OK" for you to have a crush on him. Just as it is OK to have a crush on a celebrity. You know it's never gonna happen, but as long as you understand that, you're good to go. The trick is to not take it too seriously.

Looking is fine. Even being attracted to is fine too. But becareful how far you let that "Crush" go because you might just be passing up a lot of straight people who are interested in you because you're not paying them any attention.

You're thinking about whether you might be able to "convert" him later? That maybe some sort of Chasing Amy effect will hit him and he'll see you for what you are and switch teams.

I know that it's not very PC to think that gay people can be converted but that's not necessarily the intention. And I'm not suggesting anything so sinister in Godzilla. I'm just saying that maybe Godzilla thinks that this guy might be meant for her and that she is just the enticement to make him try.

Maybe we're all bi-sexual by default.

Oh I'm past all that now. I'm just talking about having a harmless little crush. I mean come on, if a guy for girls or girl for guys looks attractive, regardless of their sexual orientation wouldn't you like to look?

I thought about it and I think having a gay male friend that I also like would be nice because I'd enjoy his company as well as feel comfortable with him. He'd hopefully be a male friend I could trust to hang around with without worrying about being mercilessly flirted with, especially if I'd had a boyfriend. I can tell you from personal experience that I've had way too many guys take advantage of me and basically get a little too flirty.

Well, no, I haven't jumped to anyone at all. I've just been my independent self, trying to do the best I can with what I have. I actually do not know any gay men at this point in time, but I was just curious what all of you thought about my own little private philosophical ponderings. When you work the shift I do, devoid of actual human contact at times being that I work 11 P.M. to 7 A.M., your mind does tend to think of all sorts of things because of how dull the nature of the shift is.
