I was just flipping past showbiz tonight on CNN and they have the dumbest people on there, like all shows of its kind, they were saying that part of the box office records was because people just wanted to see Heath 'cause he passed away, that was so stupid.

It made big money because of us fans of Batman, and I'm sure Heath fans went to see it too but, Heath's tragic early death was not the only reason anyone went to see this great film, it's because it was so good. the great reviews are proof of that, they didn't say oh the movie's only worth seeing 'cause Heath died.

Then the one chick on the dumb show said because of Bale's trouble a few days ago with his argument with his Mom and Sister that it'll make more, these stupid negative people are so caught up and obsessed with negative things that it's the only reason for anything with them, it's all they see.

They need to shut up and cancel these idiotic programs that do nothing but talk about who is dating who, who broke up and who got fat.

I never watch the garbage but I just happened to pass it and see Christian Bale thinking they were talking about ticket sales and good reviews etc. but instead it was that. After all these months can't those morons get off the Heath death thing? They are so dumb!!!

Poor Heath wouldn't want his performance bogged down by the moronic negative media. And I hadn't seen anything like that since the movie came out, just that it was sad Heath passed but he did a great job, and that's all that matters and should be said.

Heath is The Joker, he did a wonderful job, and the best actor to ever play Joker. God bless him for doing such a stellar job with the character and may he rest in peace. I'm sorry for this rant but, I just want to enjoy the success for my fave Hero and my fave villian without hearing this B.S.!

Let's hope that'll be the end of that garbage and we should just ignore it anyway and enjoy the Bat frenzy.

If this movie's success could be attributed mostly on Batman fans - Begins wouldn't of made 200 Mil.

This movie has appeal that far surpasses the character - Heath's death is a factor in that.

I know what you mean, it is the same here in Germany!
The only thing that this shows are interested in, is Heath Ledger.
They totally forget to mention the work of the other actors and the director, and I think this isn't fair...I haven't heard anything about Aaron Eckart or Gary Oldman yet and they only showed Maggie, because she was telling them how great Ledger was! The movie doesn't come out until Aug. 21 here, so hopefully it'll change a bit...
And now the things they mention is the thing with Christian Bale...I hate this magazines...

All we can do is ignore it. I don't even watch tv really anymore 'cause it's all tabloid crap.

When you do get to see the movie you'll see it has made so much because of how amazing the story is, and action and performances, and the faithfulness to the comics, and not because of
Heath's death or Bale fighting with family members. And besides the Bale thing happened afterwards.

Everyone going to see this is going for Batman, I've heard the people on their way into the theater or waiting in line and all I hear is them saying first, how long the movie is, then about how good they've heard the whole thing is not just Heath and I've heard some comment on how great Joker, but not once have I heard anyone say, oh I'm here to see it 'cause Heath died.

Being the voice of reason doesn't make many friends, but I agree with you. :yay: I certainly don't believe that he is the only reason the film has been so successful, but it can't be left out as part of the reason why.

I hate those shows too it's like they can't believe that a silly comic book movie would be so successful, man if they did their homework they would know that comic book movies have always been successful with a few exceptions.

The hype for TDK was always high even before Heath's death but considering the circumstances the hype veered towards his death.

Heath's death definitly had a HUGE part of why it has sold so many tickets at the box office.
