What kind of audio/video accessories are recommended?

P.S. I'm hooked up to Direct TV (Not HD, yet).

P.S.S. I'm not a rich man,... :(

You're really not going to notice much of a difference with only a 27" television.

I bought the new 32 inch Sony Bravia LCD tv. Very nice and very expensive.

I hate to tell you, but you should have waited for SED tv's.

Better picture quality and just as thin or thinner than LCD's.

The only way I'm buying a tv is if analog is no longer an option.

LOL! Ill do you one better before I had my Sammy, I had an APEX TV???!!!:oldrazz:

In our guest bedroom we have a television that has to be almost 25 years old and it just won't friggin' die. It's a Zenith. Why won't it DIE??????!!!!!!!

Your not going to see SED TVs for a long while.Get yourself an hdmi cable if your direct tv has a hdmi port in the back.Unless you want surround sound you don't need anything else.If you do want surround you'll need.

-2 tower speakers for the fronts

-2 bookself speakers for the rears

-1 center channel for the center

-1 subwoofer

-1 reciever with hdmi inputs

-1 optical cable or another hdmi cable

And speaker wire to hook up to all the speakers to the reciever

Do LCD Tvs go negative image when you look at them from an angle like laptop/computer screens do? Cuz I hate that.

congratulations on getting really expensive technology that will be obsolete in less than a year

my roommate tells me all the time he can get me a 42 inch plasma something or other for 1000 bucks. "don't ask. you give me a grand, i'll get you the tv".

someone wanna loan me 1k?

Mental note: Samsung = good.

Mental note: kill NOFX if not true ;)

Hehe. Westinghouse LCD is like one notch above Lite-Brite.

Get a Sony SXRD and everything will be fine :)

Actually, SED tv's aren't that far away. The first production models are due out in 2008.

I can wait 2 years to get a new tv.
