I just saw the Movie Kids???!!!

Kids is a great movie, and it's so effective in its intentions that I never want to see it again.

Another recommended movie from Larry Clark is BULLY...

I saw that a long time ago. It was an okay movie but I just thought it played out more on the stereotypes on the stoners and the girls. The story was interesting though.

Did Telly even know he was HIV positive? He didn't seem like the type to get himself checked out. I don't think it was about him taking people down with him, but satisfying himself while he could. Other aspects of his life were f***ed up aside from being HIV positive.
no, Telly didn't know

I've only seen bits and pieces of KIDS. The only scene I watched is when the beatdown occured and the guy got owned by a skateboard.

I don't plan on watching it or seeing that scene again either. It just seems like one of those movies where 6 or 7 showers is needed after viewing the film.

^Well, is this not an accurate representation of what goes on in some areas in the country? We may not know about it, but I'm sure **** like that takes place.

I'm pretty sure it does.

Some scenes were just downright hard to watch.
And I wanted to punch that lead kid.
F**king sleazebag.

I need to see it again. i saw it a long time ago, and I don't really remember much, but I do remember that I wasn't really impressed with it. But you guys all think it's great, so maybe I'll watch it again.

Someone here commented on Requiem for a Dream? That film was overrated I thought. The visuals were too trippy, and because of it the movie suffered. It was like the director was going, "Look mom! I'm making a movie!"

I want to see this now that I've looked it up but....I already feel a little sick by the idea of 12 yearolds having sex and contracting HIV....so...I'm not sure.

Well the actors themselves weren't 12 year olds at the time if that helps.

Though in the real world, a lot of 12 year olds are having sex like it's nothing.

I really, really wanted to punch the main kid's face when I saw this movie. Just to fix it up a bit. :cmad:

Well that helps a little. And I know what you mean, kids seem to be dumber now a days.

if we're gonna talk about disturbing we might as well be talking about Requiem For A Dream. now THAT is disturbing...

If you want to talk about disturbing--go watch Sympthany for Mr. Vegenance or Frailty.

Even the Woodsman.

dam i wanna check this out now

(keeps his chainsaw with him)

Watch the movie: thirteen

The movie thirteen rapes the movie kids.

I used to like it but after watching it again recently it seemed really cheaply done to me. I dont know why but I never noticed how obivious the acting is in it. I like Gummo more than this bc it doesnt seem as staged. I like Larry Clark, I love Bully, and I want to see Wassup Rockers. Ken Park is ok, but its not really something I can watch more than the one time I watched it. Wonder why Harmony Korine cant get anywhere these days... If you think Ken Park is Clark's worst movie then you have yet to feel the wrath of

...TEENAGE CAVEMAN!!!!
