Man. . .I knew the moment people discovered that Superman was the father they would start making jokes. In the last few hours I've already heard a dozen child-support jokes. :(

He skipped out on 5 years, what state (or region) of the U.S. is Metropolis supposed to be located on in the east coast?

I can goto some legal websites and calculate the payments he owes. Sorry, it's not fun to cheer for Super-Dead-Beat-Dad-Man. Superman is nolonger a boyscout or someone to look up to. He's supposed to be super intelligent, he could have just x-rayed Lois to check before he skipped town.

It was the underlying theme that men only count when it comes to their sperm and wallet, otherwise they're really irrelevant.

Singer couldn't have made it more obvious than had he stepped into the movie and lectured the audience about it.

Truth, justice and the american way. Whats more american than skipping out on your babys mama.:p

Ya um thats reading way too deep into it.

Superman boldly sacrificed himself to save everyone (not even knowing he had a son)....to save the world.

He was a true man and the film showed that men like him and Richard should be positive figures for inspiring positive ideals.

Jor-El also proved to be a loving father who helped make Kal-El what he is today (as did Jonathan in the vague past).

Yeah, everyone in my theatre couldn't wait for it to end...and we're making mad amounts of jokes. Stupid plot line.

Jack Black for Green Lantern?.....Ok wow, Ive heard enough of you now.

There were several scenes where Superman assumed that fatherly role, despite the fact that Richard was his father.

Nothing's worse than when people project their own opinions of a movie onto the audience around them.

I just find it funny that apparently everyone who loved this movie and everyone who hated it were all in seperate theaters.

THANK YOU, Katsuro. Pretending the entire theater was with him is something I'd expect out of Whack Arnolds, too.

I honestly have to say, I have no idea what you're talking about. I didn't get that at all from the movie.

The one thing I didn't like was the outside of Superman's cape, it was to dark, and the neckline is to tight. Alot of on the farm scenes were cut out, and of course the Krypton scenes were omitted. Well lets hope singer releases an extended cut on DVD.

I posted this in the review thread, but the opening titels. The CGI planets and all that looked too cgi, and not as realistic as the same thing the same company did 9 years ago in Contact. And the blue Zooming titles did not look as good as STM's version. STMS version looked more 3D and had white hithlights giving it that 3D look. This one didnt look as good and I figured that was the one thing that would really look good. When I heard it was in the movie, I thought "kick ass. yeah."

I gotta agree with you there Buggs. Too CGI... I got the impression that it was ment to be half realistic half cartoony?

I dont know, maybe that was just me.

That is what it seemed to me too. But somehow the impression I get is that it wasn't supposed to be that way. The one ins STM gav eit a grandness/bigness. this kind of did the oposite.. I also thing the actual titles themselbes were not as good as the ones in STM. The looked more 3D in that one. I was so looking forward to this one thing, and when i saw them I was like "Here they come..here they..,.huh?"

Superman Returns sucked more than Monica Lewinski.

haha, this coming from a guy who apparently appreciated nacho libre.

yeah, that's gonna hold some weight =). go back to your hole, troll!

Everyone has a opinion, this is America for goodness sakes. If he says it's whack than it's whack. Nacho Libre rocked lmao.

I didn't like the storyline that much though. Maybe they'll add more on dvd.

I didn't like the small amount of screentime they gave Clark and Superman. For a movie called Superman Returns, it seemed like Superman got pushed off to the side while Lois's family and Lex's antic took over.

My major pet peeve with any movie scenes from the trailer/commercials that were cut from the film
I hope the DVD restores these scenes and more.
