Just because everybody went in expecting some action fest that the misleading trailer showed it to be, doesn't mean it's bad that you were actually made to think!

But I guess the sequel shall recieve the fanboy seal of approval, seeing as it's sure to appeal to action hungry audiences rather than give us character development and story WITH some good action sequences on the side.

Welcome to the hype. Dude, this thread is pretty pointless. Better to voice your opinion in one of the official discussion threads. These don't stay open very long.

i saw the movie in the theater, and i thought it was pretty good.
i didn't understand why people thought it was so bad.
but you know, over time, just like most other super-hero movies(or movies in general), they get less exciting as they once were.

SFII I definitely agree with you about the Hulk Movie, this is my first post on this forum, I've been reading for the past 3 years quite a few of the members views on the hulk movie from those that liked the movie and those who didn't, I personally could not see anything wrong with Ang Lee's take on the Hulk. I was just grateful that a Hulk movie got made.
:yay:

To be honest I admire Ang Lee for having the bottle to actually take on the directing of the movie, as it seemed to me that other directers probably shyed away from undertaking this task.

I Liked It And I Hated It At The Same Time!
I'm A Newbie Myself Howdy-ho!

What I Liked: The Comic Book Feel, eric Bana, sam Neil, the Chase Scenes, Battles W/ Army, and Overall Origin Explanation..

What I Hated: The Dog Fight Scene (poodles!),the Blond Dude That Keeps On Trying To Capture Him(he's Also In Stealth) He Sucks As An Actor(reminds Me Of The Guy That Plays Dr. Doom)
The Constant Flashbacks Of The Possesed Father, the Final Battle Scene W/ Nolte-rocklike Thing (way Too Dark Too See Right) All And All Sloppy But Glad To See The Green Guy(daylight Scenes Were Cool) The Night Scenes Were Weak! And That Scene
With The Blond Dude And The Shaving Cream-like Gun That Explodes With Him Jumping And Freezing On Camera In Mid Air !!(lame-oooooooooooooooooo)...

Bring On The Other One (should Be Alot Better!)

Props To Ang Lee Though For An "artsy" Super-hero Flick.

I just saw it this week and I think it's a pretty good movie (better than ghost rider)

I'm a big Hulk fan and I never hated or disliked the film. I love it.
I don't understand how some put it under "worst comic book film ever" or anything.

The biggest problem I had with it was Hulk's size. He got too damn big.

I really enjoyed The Hulk and I too dont understand all of the dislike.

I mean its not perfect, but it does however capture a good sense of emotion. The scene where young Bruce is playing next to the picture glass window and the complex his father works at is far in the distance then suddenly explodes into a green mushroom cloud gives me chills every time I watch it.

The fight scene between him and his father at the very end does the same.

Great movie.

Had the same problem myself.

The more I think about it this new version of the Hulk seems more like a continuation than a reboot - I don't know why they had to re cast the whole thing, everybody before had done a great job...

I liked the Hulk movie myself, even though it did overdo the drama I feel :yay:
The father-son relationship should have had some closure earlier on though
The only thing I hated about the movie was the constant use of the split screen technique :cmad: lol :oldrazz:

Apparently most of the original cast didn't want to come back to do another sequel and weren't contracted out to do as such.

It was just okay, I thought.
It wasn't as terrible as people make it out to be, but it sure as heck wasn't what anyone wanted, or was expecting....

i've been a hulk fan for as long as i can remember...
and it disappointed me..

agreed.

I liked it but they needed just a little more action.

I enjoy the Hulk to an extent, but it isn't considered bad because people were mislead on its tone, it's thought bad because it can be looked at as having a poorly-structured, overly tedious and ridiculous plot, poor dialogue, and rather dry and uninteresting acting performances.

Like I said, I enjoy the Hulk. Watch it every now and again, but don't try to cheapen other people's opinions on it by saying they're only interested in mindless action. Because that's simply not true. Spider-Man 2 wasn't busting with action. Neither was Batman Begins. Or the X-Men movies. Yet, they're well-received and the Hulk isn't. Why? Because the things that plague the Hulk aren't just a lack of action. If you don't feel anything plagues the film, that's great. But some other people do not feel the same way.

Dry and depressing is a good way of putting it. Plus this movie was marketed one way, and completely fooled everyone into thinking it was something it wasn't.

The movie is very depressing to me. Yes, i should i should feel sad for Banner and his plight, but i didn't because i didn't feel for any of the characters, in any shape or form. Seriously, i thinkk you can count on 1 hand the number of times someone actually smiled in this movie. I had more fun watching paint dry, or watching my frozen T-Bone steaks defrost than this crap fest.

Yes this movie did completely fool me to thinking it was what it wasn't. It seemed like more of a chick flick, but it dosn't work well when you have a 12ft. green man. What im trying to say is I thought is was going to be hard core hulk action from the previews, but in all it was a dried out spider man by ways of the love story, I think spider man is the only story you can actualy pull a love story off,but not in the hulk.

Your ALLOWED to like the Hulk movie. That's the beauty, don't ya get it?! This is AMERICA. Here, you're ALLOWED to be WRONG.

:cwink: :woot:

That is true, your allowed to like a movie even though it kind of sucked!

now...if i didn't really know anything about the hulk...but just basically knew of him as being a big angry green guy that likes to smash things...you would think a hulk movie would be just that....an action fest....not some mediocre story with poor special effects and barely any action.

^ Its the Hulk. There must be action. Nice and simple but yet to the point.
