Just seems like (some) people struggle to understand that opinions differ. That films, like any art, is subjective and an opinion is very seldom wrong for its owner...
So here's mine...
No, Thor: Ragnarok is not a straight up comedy.
Yes, I think there was a little too much comedy.
When I say 'too much', I mean I personally would have toned down only those scenes where I felt it needed or at least would have benefited from a more serious tone - like the first Surtur scene, and the destruction of Asgard. I thought the levity lessened the impact/importance of the event.
Just to show how subjective it all is, some of the posters who have expressed similar opinions as above, didn't like the Banner splatting on the bridge scene, which I found hilarious.
So let's not get riled up when someone feels differently to ourselves... If we all agreed it'd get quite boring imo...
And I've never been scared of being in the minority...
