Seriously man 27? You need to get out of your parents house, & on your own. These days because people are enviromentally friendly being a bus rider isn't look down upon as much, so you can actually skate with that for a while.

save up, always save up.

A car is one of the worst investments you can make technically. They depreciate in value like no other item and will cost you much more.

Saving up will keep you ahead of the soon to be down economy.

i would save it . a cheap car will ultimately cost you more than it is worth in repairs. i would save up for a decent car and moving out kind of sucks when all your money goes toward rent.

They have both trolleys (mostly in San Francisco) and buses.

I agree you would save more money if you move out to CA and use public transportation. Gas is expensive and so is car insurance. And usually, you can't be on a parent's insurance if you're over 21 years old.

So save for the move...... and DON'T buy a car.
