Yes, that is very much a tan. I remember how much lighter he was back when he did his first "Comedy Central Presents" special. Then as good as he got his own show, he pulled a Geraldo (meaning he changed his name).

Oh, and someone needs to tell him that any punch a punchline has is completely removed as soon as you explain the joke to the audience. Mencia's jokes literally go something like this:

"That white dude was so racist, he put Nazis to shame."
*pause for scarce audience laughter*
"See, some of you aren't getting that joke. You're like 'durr, wut's a Nazi Carlos?' They're the guys who killed Jews because they weren't white enough! How do you think they feel about beaners, dummy?! DEEDEEDEE!"

And then the art of stand-up comedy dies a little.

i actually kind of used to like him when mind of mencia first came on , until i realized how much of a goddamn talentless plagiarizing moron he really is . i wished they cancelled his goddamn show already . . even the goddamn advertisements for the new season are pissing me off . i haven't even watched it since the first goddamn episode of the 2nd season , and i honestly really don't care for it . how the **** does this guy still have so many fans ? i'm so goddamn tired of hearing a bunch of dumbasses at my school acting as if he's some kind of ****ing comedic genius , talking about him all the ****ing time . it's sickening .

Larry is more guilty of faking his personality than Mencia. Larry the Cable Guy's real name is Dan, and he went to a private school in Nebraska before moving to Florida. The accent, clothing, bad speech patterns, all of it-- they're all fake.

Im still surprised its on. He has zero likeability. He has nothing but bad buzz with all his joke stealing, and his show is a third rate Chappelle Show

He says he's from Honduras, but tends to liken himself to Mexicans all the time. I get that he probably does it because he grew up around Mexicans, but he has on occasion called himself a beaner and said he actions were sometimes "*******y." His constant jokes at the expense of Mexicans leads his viewers to believe he himself is Mexican, and he tends to avoid mentioning he's from Honduras except maybe once or twice a year.
