perhaps you live your sober life in a far more uptight manner at a speed which means you take things for granted more.

when intoxicated it's usually at a time when it corresponds with you doing things at a slower pace with less things going on in your head, so therefore the combination of an relaxed environment, a slower paced activity and an intoxicant may help you feel more appreciative of your surroundings and your current situation.


saying that if you were in a bad situation, it would probably fuel a more pessimistic behaviour. Alcohol is a funny thing.
