Wasn't Sandman as Ben's killer supposed to be the twist? So why the hell would the trailer reveal it... you telling me everyone goes online and reads a copy of the script? I think there is probably glaring evidence that it is but it is later proved false at the films end... I only think it is to serve as motivation for black spidey's revenge... I doubt is gonna end up playing out like its the truth... Cromwell will probably realize the evidence was flawed some way... I was just shocked a trailer would reveal something like this... what would the inevitable twist be then?
Harry saves Peter and Venom is in the flick
? THats not good enough for me but I guess thats all the audience is gonna be suprised about when they see the film... I am just asusming but it makes sense no?

I agree. This film is becoming so predictable now. I don't know why I watch the trailers, but sometimes they show too much. I can tell you now there won't be any anticipating twists except for Venom at this rate.

Sam filmed two separate endings of a fight scene while boyscouT,me and a few others were on the set.
There are going to be some unexpected twists.

I personally think its a symbiote-induced hallucination. Thats why they revealed it in the trailer, because it will end up not being true.

I don't doubt it.

Dark Phantom, I love your avatar and I love the Phantom of the Opera. Fecking spectacular, my good sir.

Because that's the easiest way to hype a third-rate villain like Sandman.

Don't keep your hopes up. The script summary did say that this would happen the exact way it did (Aunt May and Peter go down to the police department for a surprise) and it never said that it the info turned out to be false. Also if it was shown in the trailer and doesn't mean that it will turn out to not be real, it will just turn out to not really be a twist, similar to Cyclops's death in X3.

Meh, I still have faith in Raimi. Only when the movie is actually out will I be upset if its true. Unless they play it off reeeeally well. But I doubt it.

That would have to be one hell of a hallucination, seeing as Aunt May and Captian Stacy think that he's the killer too.

Yeah, I guess I didn't state that well--a dream would be more like it.

I thought that seeing Peter and Aunt May learning the info from the police department would end the dream argument. I guess that Aunt May's speach on revenge and the Uncle Ben getting murdered flashback would be a part of the dream also? I really doubt that.

Look, since you seem intent on eating me alive about this, I'm just going to say:

Raimi is a real fan of the comics, and in my opinion, he would not stray from the classic origin. I am hoping that come May, we will see that somehow things are not as they seem concerning Sandman being the killer. And if I'm wrong, I'll admit it, but I'll only believe it when I see it."

Sorry if I sounded like I was trying to flame you, I was just trying to prove a point. Don't expect to not be argued against if you bring up something debatable.

Its all good. About being argued against by the non-believers:

Bring it.

"Bring it???" I don't think anybody cares that much... but your right iglius... and Sandman ain't a third class villain like someone said, and people know Venom is a possibility so its not like Sandman is the only villain... that being said.... ain't no reason to hype him now that we can see his capabilities... Sandman didn't kill Ben... period... just wait and see... this thread can be closed now...

I've noticed that everybody's way of dealing with things they don't like in the trailer is by naming it as a dream.

"How did that pumpkin bomb get thrown in Harry's face?"
"Oh it was just a dream."

"Why is Sandman Uncle Ben's actual killer?"
"Just a dream."

and

"Why is Peter being choked and who is he reaching out to?"
"I think...It's just a dream."

Not everything is a dream; that very idea is repulsive and worst than what you are trying to explain as a dream. Please, just let it be; it's not a freaking dream!

Yeah, Fat Tonie, nobody cares. ^

Bring it isn't exactly the best choice or words when you don't agree with someone elses opinion... but I ain't an English major so I don't really care that you said it in the first place anyways...

Sandman as Ben's killer isn't the twist. Even the script summary makes it clear that you learn this early on. It's the focal point of Peter's obsession that drives the suit to take over him.

As far as the dream goes... I never said it was gonna be a dream... maybe they got the evidence wrong... we know the bomb is a dream but then again.... Harry does end up in the hospital (unscarred however)... I say there was a mixup in the evidence... and since your learn about it early (as someone just said)... it will probably be disproved at the end
