Lmao. Imagine how insane SDCC '14 is going to be with the movies lined up for 2015. I'm determined to get tickets to that one.
See what I've done? See what I've done?
Yeah, I tried getting tickets and totally got shafted. :/ Pretty bummed. I wanted to go this year in hopes of seeing The Amazing Spider-Man 2 panel.
Is this the only way to get tickets?
I suppose you could look for a scalper now.
I think you have to show proof of registration when you pick up your badge. And like someone said by 2014 its going to get worse. Some attendees are taking a hiatus till 2016. That's when it is expected the San Diego Convention center expands allowing a larger group.
But who knows what will happen 3 years from now. Hollywood now controls comic con. They can move it to the Kodiak theater and allow only celebs and the paparazi.
I've gone to the SDCC twice. I no longer have the desire to go.
And it seems that's good.
It would cost me a fortune to go to SDCC. I'd like to go for the experience, but I hate people, so, yeh. I hear NYCC is more fun, but I'm happy with the UK Cons I go to.
who video tapes themselves buying comic-con tickets?
Not even for next year's SDCC? That seems like the one where all hell is gonna break loose. The BIG one.
I'm going. I got me and my bro tickets as well as 6 other people. I am that good. :sunglasses:
Also, I will be attending the ASM2 panel and heckling the entire time.
You can't even meet any the celebs who attend after paying all that money. Its fu**ing bullsh**!
Two was enough for me. I'm fine merely being an observer from here on out.
I really want to go to next year's but it's going to be more hectic than ever. I might not go just to avoid the headache and hassle, but then again, it would be my first SDCC ever.
2014's SDCC will probably see the biggest turn out ever since it was started. Avengers 2 and Star Wars Episode VII are sure to bring in a ****ton of people. Probably won't be more than 3 inches between people in the entire place.
Don't forget Justice League.
Just like the Unicorn it doesn't exist.
Exactly! You have all these star chasers and paparazzi running on the aisles trying to get snapshot of celeb going into a panel or shopping on the floor.
We should rename it HollywoodCon.
I won't be surprised if SDCC does like E3 and makes attendance industry/press-only. The mad dash for tickets has gotten absolutely nuts.
Good man! And tell them not to **** up again like they did with first ASM, what an awful movie that was.
While this would be an epic thing for SDCC to do for the hardcore fans...it would be bad business for the city of San Diego. They want SDCC to grow as much as possible because that is their annual Giant Cash Cow.
However, if the Convention Center doesn't expand by 2016 both L.A. and Anaheim would host the event and if that is the case L.A. would be worse because their hotel area is terrible compare to Anaheim's Disney Motel system and Parking.
Time will tell.
Got my ticket. Going alone. It's going to be my 2nd time going to SDCC but my first time alone. A little nervous...
