Yes, I want one. I don't have one. All I got is a CD-Rom drive. Now, I do know where to get oen but upon re-looking at them, I saw that this might be more hard to get it to work, so I wanted to ask. I have Windows XP, okay? Good. Now if I were to get one of these DVD drivers, how am I suppose to "plug it in"? As in, what am I suppose to do for it to work?

Hmmm seeing as you dont know if it is right or not to stick one in using xp, you really think your the right person to be installing one???

Anyway, Yes Dvd-roms will work with windows xp. As for installation

The jumpers are the only thing you will need to worry about :p The dvd-rom will have to be set on slave if your cdrom is the master

Now, that was sarcasm.

Anyway, would my computer have to be taken apart or could I just put the DCD drive above my harddrive then connect?

No! really?

:) only thing you need to "take apart" would the the side panel off your tower then, change the jumper settings, put the dvdrom in the bay, connect it up, screw it in, and turn your pc on.

Okay, then. For somethign liek that, I would need a professional. I believe I can ask people I know that are in the "computer" business. But do you know who could help me?

Get an external DVD Rom Drive that uses a usb cable & then you won't have to fool with taking your computer apart.

Theres nothing to take apart. Its the easiest thing to do.
Just open the case and plug it in
