Well, I already got a ferret, so he would've come to my rescue. Actually, he has ADD and cares more about the rolled up socks I stuck in his cage than he does about me, so scratch that.

They are in essence, a wild animal. They have that wild animal smell.....they are cute as hell.


I'd love to have one, but I'm afraid my dog wants one as a toy to chew up, not as a buddy to hang out with....

Yeah. My friend's sister had two, and they were allowed to roam free throughout the house. The weird thing was that they also had four cats, all of whom were indifferent to the ferrets.

They were really cool, though. My friend and I would be at his computer playing a game or something, and all of a sudden you'd feel one on your foot or tugging at your pants. You look down, and it's looking right back up at you. It was pretty obvious that they wanted to be held/pet lol. They were awesome.

I get back to my place at about 1 in the morning, and am getting out of the car, and I think I see some small animal running around near the front door of the duplex. I assume it's the neighbor's cat, so I just walk on up assuming he'll run off as he normally does. I get up closer, I see this thing with a white face and beady eyes turn towards me, bare its teeth and start running at me. I literally yell, "what in the ****?" and try to sidestep it, and it screams past and off into the darkness. I figured these things attempt to play dead, but this bastard ran right at me. That's what I get for living in a place where there's a forest preserve right behind us.

A ferret ran past me in the street last night when we were out at the pubs, and it's right in the middle of town. I was too surprised but I suppose I should have tried to grab it or something, must have been an escaped pet.
