When will we meet more children of Thanos? Like Thane

Thane is inhuman, so he can be introduced in Inhumans and then play a role in IW part 2. I think he'd be an awesome addition to the infinity gauntlet story!

He definitely would & it'd be another aspect to introduce to expand on Thanos' character. Thane is pretty awesome so a live action film would serve him well.

So quick question.
About a month or two ago I posted here saying that Cap's shield was in the potomac and that was going to be a loose end that needed tying by this movie; I got a response from someone telling me it was in the hospital scene at the end next to him by the Falcon.
But I rewatched TWS last night and didn't see it anywhere. Am I missing something, or is his shield still at the bottom of the river?

Seeing as he has it in AoU. We can assume he got it back.

Well yes but I originally asked this before we saw the trailer. And it's still a loose thread that will need to be addressed in AoU.

They dredged the lake getting the hellicarrier out. Found the shield and returned it to him? I doubt they'd waste any time in the film trying to explain it.

I mean I think it needs a throwaway line or two, they clearly showed it falling into the river so it was emphasized.
My original point, however, was just to to clarify that his shield was indeed not sitting next to his bed at the end like I had originally heard.

i cant wait to see thanos come and take all the gems one by one

I think it's obvious enough not to need explaining. They would have to do a ton of very detailed clean up to get rid of all the helicarrier debris and of course they would search extra hard for what's likely the only piece of vibranium outside of Wakanda.

Sure, but look how they handled the loose threads going into the Avengers. Stark is a consultant? Throwaway line in his intro scene with Coulson addressing that. Thor is off world with no way to get to earth? Throwaway line about Dark magic being conjured.
It's such a little thing, but if Marvel is known for anything it is adhering to continuity and leaving no stone unturned in terms of plot developments.
Yes I'm aware that it doesn't necessarily "need" to be touched on, but I'm willing to bet my bottom dollar that it will be. The film makers would not have emphasized his shield falling into the river if it wasn't in the pipeline.
But once again, that isn't my original point for posting in this thread.

The shield is next to his bed in the hospital scene. You can see it when they pan in. It is a blink and you miss it kind of thing, but it is there.

Thanks for the info, I'll look for that next time I watch the movie.

Interesting...based on some of Gunn's comments I didn't think Thanos would be appearing in GOTG 2 but it seems like that assumption might be wrong.

the idea of everyone in the MCU coming together to fight Thanos is just too huge to comprehend, which is awesome. Pretty much the biggest movies ever in terms of ensembles.

I want to see everyone. Avengers, Defenders, GOTG, Inhumans. The whole shebang. Perhaps even a few properties that marvel currently doesn't have at the moment :cwink:

Is you talkin' bout Spoderman? Pls. :cwink:

th

I would hope not...implementing Spider-Man at this point would be a little too messy.

hopefully there will be another Thanos cameo in Avengers 2.

I'm betting there will be. Or at the very least some sort of reference. But another cameo does seem likely considering it's been stated Thanos will have multiple appearances in the MCU.

Love me some Thanos...can't wait to see him released...however, there is only one who deserves the Infinity Gems more...and if he was home at Marvel, THIS could be a reality :)

and even Thanos had THIS to say about the Latverian Monarch:

Given your signature, you clearly are a Doom fan lol. But I do ask you, what the relevance of this is in regard to Thanos, other than to state that you think Doom is more deserving of this film than Thanos

Also, Thanos is SO tied to the arc and no character, not even Doom should steal his spotlight/Thunder as the villain who wields the IG. Aside from bias, I don't understand the reasoning behind the statement "there is only one who deserves the Infinity Gems more" No one does. No one. It's Thanos' story

Also, Thanos' comments were respectful to Doom, sure. But he's also implying that he more than likely has an idea to counter anything Doom has done. Also, regarding infinity, and time...both Thanos and Doom were in the same arc, had a similar goal and not only did Thanos suceed where Doom failed, but he went way beyond what Doom planned on.
