...now that this film is out? Will he be angry or happy with the end result? He put a great deal of time into this franchise, launched the modern day comic book revolution, nad was treated quite poorly by Fox. And now, he leaves, this is what results? I wonder if he takes a sort of sick satisifcaction -- a sort of "I told you so..." -- to it all.

What do you guys think? If you were Singer, how would you feel?

I don't think he'll care really, at least not terribly.

It's a rather unfair question to expect us to be able to assume what his honest response is....

And what if he loved X3? How would you then feel?

I would feel exactly how you described it if I was Singer: Happy that this movie sucks.

That he and I have a difference of opinion. But I think he'd think he could've made a better film, as any director would most likely. However, I really don't think Singer would think this was any good, and that saddens me since he and Brett are such great friends supposedly.

you mena because of the fact that the new guy did a much better job than Singer? X3 is by far the best in the series.

HAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Do you even know what a movie is? Or are you going to throw, it's my opinion in my face. This film is patently lacking in things that X1 and X2 held well.

if he didnt like it, he wouldnt admit it, since hes friends with ratner

I think Ratner was actually pretty true to Singer's style. Unlike the jarring transition in style from Batman 2 to Batman 3, the difference in style between X-Men 2 and 3 is minimal/non-existant. I think Ratner did a very good job of blending this movie in seemlessly with the others. I think Singer would appreciate that over someone who would just throw out everything and reimagine it all.

What are you smoking?

X2 was far better than X3.

In my humble opinion of course.

if i was Singer ( assuming that i know what goes on his mind ;) ) i would think that Ratner did a good job with what he had..knowing full well that his "bosses" didn't exactly help him..

after that i would cringe(at least) at the way the movie just barely touched what on he tried to build ( and the new storyline : the cure ) destroying it in a way...........

So yep deep inside i think i would think "i told you saw"

A real friend imo tell you what he really think.

How did it barely touch on the cure storyline? I think that was developed quite well.

The cure was done very well, the characters I can't say the same for. Although there seems to be no real resolution at the end of the film regarding the cure..

Well , they began imo to touch on it , but rapidly all was about the fights and so on( and anyways at the end it felt more imortant imo..and it was not that well executed )

I dont think they're close friends....i dunno.....Ratner dosent seem like the sort of guy singer goes fishing with...they seem like two different people

But...didn't Singer leave on his own to do Superman?

So, wasn't it like Singer abandoning the X-men franchise, himself?

Atleast the soundtrack is awesome! I can't stop listening to it!

Singer's is a film maker, like Ratner, and I'm sure if i'm not mistaken that they are friends. I really doubt he would hate it, or love it. Its difficult to say, but its not as though the characters were butchered. He would just watch it and respect that it was another director's take on it. And not that I'm having a dig at the guy, cause I'm not, but who honestly cares what he thinks. Ratner's made his movie, and Singer did the last two. Its really redundant and narrow minded to think that Singer would hate or love it.

I think he said he would've done an X-Men 3 after Superman. But Fox didn't want to wait.

I could've waited till 2008 if I knew that Singer was going to do it.

Why do you think Singer left? FOX was taking too long to re-up his contract.

He is not crying in his bedroom, thats for sure

True, they should have mentioned something on it at the end. One can assume it remains as a voluntary option for mutants, while at the same time mutants are getting more acceptance in society (i.e. Hanks appointment to UN Ambassador, Angel flying over the park), but yea the consequences of that should have been covered more.

Oh...ok. So, it was the Studio that was rushing the project.

I haven't seen X3 yet, but it sounds like there are hints for future movies. Quite a few things are left unresolved.

So, hopefully Singer will return to do X4, or else the next chapter.

In the meantime, hopefully Xmen's "loss" will be Superman's "gain."
