when the movie is released.

it's been pretty quiet lately on the negatron side you know? :hyper: :whatever:

Just you wait, I'm holding out to fire up the negatron thread agin once some of the others have seen the movie. I don't want to be alone when I unleash the hate.

I thought you liked it? :yay:

I did in the "fun" way, but after watching it the second time I was a lot more critical. Even after accepting the changes made by Bay from the orginal there were still some silly inconsistancies in the movie only. Like the wareabouts of some of the Decpticons during the movie, unexplaned occurances to the story and characters. Just wait until you see it, its hard not to notice it.

I am seeing it TONIGHT.

I'll be in here whenever I can tomorrow to chat about the movie, and so will 298790474679 n00bs, and the Hype will slow down, and the post count will be horrendously fast, and you won't be able to backtrack a conversation, and plenty of people will be banned, and alot of people are going to spoil the movie, and plenty of threads will have a spoiler in the thread topic, and all of the Autobot/Decepticon poster names will be gone, and there will be people who will be overly critical, and some will type like cavemen, and others will get into stupid arguments, and some will type L1k3 tH1S!, and some will overly love the film, and yeah...

...Another day on the Hype. :)

one thing is for sure, no more spoiler tags. :)

I was afraid of that. Some of my favorite movies of all time I liked more on subsequent viewings... kinda like "movie grenades." Pulp Fiction, The Matrix, Spider-man 2.... ALL movies that I didn't out-and-out "love" the first time around but grew to be some of my fave movies of all time. It sucks that Transformers might be the opposite of that. Kinda like that hot chic you meet in the bar that turns out to be an annoying airhead.

spoken like a true decepticon
..strength in numbers eh

I am sure there will be things I will be negative about, but it seems that the Positives will outweight them. (Hopefully....)

same as it ever was...

same as it ever was...

The 80's rocked!!! :cmad:

It'll be overtaken by people posting for the first time, that's a given. I predict tomorrow about mid-afternoon to late evening...500 members, most of which will be guests.

How much did traffic increase when 300 had it's huge opening?

not that much.

He probably ment in relation to what it is like now, but I'm sure there will be a number of newbies shoot through.

Yes, but it's nothing compared to a failure like Spidey III. Here was to introduce a very extreme franchise to a large audience and the choice of managing the story using the relationship between Sam and Bumblebee and HUGE humor for casual viewers was brilliant IMHO. Yes, there's a LOT of odd characters (Turturro) and the story was bloopering and sometimes no-justified, but you may notice that:

1) He don't have ridiculous deus ex-machina such as SM3; also, the humor is not so campy like SM3
2) The fans got what they want:
- Huge robot action
- Autobot's characters very close to the G1 animated series
- Prime's leadership character
- Prime VS Megatron and several details on Bots and Cons
3) Rest of audience have a brillant comedy for fun and laughs

Yes, Decepticons had to be better in terms of screening time and characters, and the story was very simple. I don't say that the movie is a perfect transposition, but let's admit that as a first serious experiment to bring japanimation robots (although was Marvel) at theaters, is really really really good.

Spidey 3 was a fan film, all the fans kept asking for stuff and they got it, only problem is it was a jumbled mess. We want Venom, we want Venom they cried, well they got there Venom :whatever: now they are pissed.

thing is, didn't actually get "venom"

Realizing a movie like SM3 was 10.000 times easily than TF... all was really yet wrote on comics and the franchise in audience was granted by the first two installments. Venom? You call it Venom? Come on :woot: Don't want to push this thread to an I Hate SM3 thread, but it was for comparison between the most blockbusters of this summer. Please keep in mind that the premise realizing a movie is to like at the *large* audience. This was the very first experiment to bring us a stuff like giant robots war to large audience and i think it was good, it's pretentious to cry for some missing points in terms of fidelity. :word:

Your right, I'm going to let this one die.

I know one thing for a fact.......

My genitals and anooos will implode when I see:

Mighty Spoiler, wrecking of money shot...

Optimus Prime stabs his Laser Sword up through Bonecrusher's head to shut his ***** ass up.
