Smoking pot is not akin to being stabbed. There's nothing wrong with a few vices in moderation. If that means a night cap before bed or a joint, twinkies, and some Tom & Jerry. Who cares?

I agree, if your adult enough to use recreational drugs (and yes alcohol is a recreational drug) then you should be adult enough to know when not to drive

It's a difficult topic. I can't appreciate people who do drugs around kids but at the same time these parents could easily get their act together. If they smoked weed once or twice it doesn't mean they automatically deserve to have their children taken away. And besides, if you are stopped in the car for having weed the cops don't go to your home and take your kids away.

the point I was trying to make is that being an alcoholic is perfectly legal in the United States of America and being a stoner is not, now tell me... if you had to pick, which one would you rather have your daughter dating?

The major problem in America today is the need of so many people to numb thier brains with one kind of drug or another.

I think the bigger problem is so many people want to legislate whether or not another person is allowed to numb their brain.

I'm not saying that things I don't like should be banned. I'm saying that I'm happy that things I don't like are banned, or in the case of marijuana, that the things that people I don't like and have absolutely no respect for like are banned.

I respect that, I really do. but I wasn't talking literally, I was talking hypothetically. if you had to choose between the alcoholic and the stoner. I personally would pick the stoner, because I know first hand how violent the alcoholic can get over something trivial. and stoners are not usually the violent type

Depends on where you live, but that's a law that I've broken myself. Regardless, ferret owners aren't represented by the likes of Cheech and Chong, so their efforts to get them legalized in areas where they don't serve to be an ecological problem are actually making headway.
