I Would...But I Know Where The Wrestling Thread Has Been

The WWE needs to keep Mistico as Sin Cara, besides, Rey Mysterio probably won't be in the WWE for much longer

I guess if Mistico goes back to Mexico he will wrestle under a new name. Doesn't Mexico have a new Mistico?

Shes suffering some kind of facial paralysis and using the mask to cover it. The storyline excuse is its a protective mask after she got her jaw and orbital bone fractured in a fight she and Rosita had with Tara and Ms Tessmacher

I see, sorry to hear she has a real problem, I just thought it was a new gimmick. In truth it's actually a pretty cool look just a shame it's under such circumstances.

This is so avatar worthy.

HUNTER!

Too much for one avvy but I cut two options for you.

Sarita does have a cool look, despite her condition, which sucks.

oh.....wow.......:csad:

is her condition permanent or is it something she can recover from??

Give Sarah Stock all the credit in the world for working through this and making it a part of her character. Plus it works as a look, too.

Any more details on that?

I THINK I read somewhere that her condition has improved somewhat. Hopefully so.

I see, sorry to hear she has a real problem, I just thought it was a new gimmick. In truth it's actually a pretty cool look just a shame it's under such circumstances.

I've actually warmed to it myself. Its a cool look that makes her more intimidating. She can kind of sex it up since it's sort of a dominatrixy look. Reminds me of when Sue Richards was Malice

The storyline explanation makes sense. Tara did break Beth Phoenix's jaw after all. They could do some cool stuff with this storywise. A Tara/Sarita feud would be gold as far as the matches are concerned.

I've been wondering if she's suffering from Bell's Palsy like Jim Ross. If she is then she should recover. Ya gotta feel bad for anyone who deals with that but especially women in the business who are usually expected to look good.

I have really, really hoped this was all a work, not just because I like Sara Stock but I can think of few things more hazardous than continuing to wrestle when you've experienced even very mild stroke-like symptoms.

From what I understand there is very little or no risk from her continuing to wrestle.

Besides if it is Bells Palsy then thats not a stroke. A stroke can CAUSE paralysis of course but Bells Palsy solely a problem of the nerve itself and not related to any brain problem.

Her doctors have probably ruled out a stroke much like JR's do when he has his bouts with BP. I'd be more concerned with damaging the nerves in my face/head if I were her but then again thats what the mask is there to protect against.

Gotta give her credit for going back to work like that. Even if it's cause she needs the money that still takes a lot of balls.

Money or not, balls or not, I don't think any form of facial paralysis is something to take lightly. Assuming it's for real, I really have to shake my head at Impact Wrestling sometimes, whether they even think they should care about the well-being of their talent. Between them signing Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy, and now this, I just don't know about that company some times.

I doubt she's taking it lightly. For all we know her doctor may have told her she could continue to wrestle. Wresters have gone on with way worse health issues. Shawn Michaels wrestling with his back the way it was seemed way more risky to me than what Saritas doing and we KNOW what was wrong with him.

I've read that Bells Palsy (if thats what she has) can be cause by everything from stress to a virus. If thats the case it doesn't matter how many bumps she takes.

JR doesn't take ANY bumps and his has flared up more than once over the years.

And yet JR took a fair amount of time off work whenever his Bells Palsy flaired up.

And yet JR took a fair amount of time off work whenever his Bells Palsy flaired up.

That was often because McMahon and Kevin Dunn WANTED him off tv because of his face. JR said that he could have come back LOOOOONG before he did after a couple of bouts of Bells Palsy. The stress of working for McMahon is well documented. haven't heard anything about Sarita having any stress so no one can say for sure that she needs to take time off because of it.

- Bill DeMott wrote on Twitter that he's hoping an announcement on the next season of WWE Tough Enough will be made very soon.

- Speaking of DeMott, he will be signing autographs at the FCW events this Friday in Palm Bay, Florida and Saturday in Winter Haven, Florida.

- Big Show, John Cena and Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz, R-Truth and Alberto Del Rio is being advertised for next Monday's RAW tapings from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at Rexall Place.

- Bret Hart is being advertised as the special referee for a Street Fight between Randy Orton and Christian at next Tuesday's SmackDown tapings in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

- Kevin Nash reportedly tried returning to WWE TV without dying his hair black but officials insisted that he dye it black because they wanted him to look younger. Nash tried to get out of it but WWE wouldn't budge. It's said that Nash prefers his gray hair and when he was in TNA, people pushed for him to dye it but he wouldn't.

- Word on why WWE hasn't publicly announced the suspension of Andy Leavine is that they are going through the motions to make sure his Wellness failure is legitimate, like checking to see if he was prescribed something by a doctor or other steps along those lines. Andy also may be offered a second test but that's not confirmed. There have been situations where a talent failed a test, then took a second one and proved they were clean.

Andy reportedly failed his Wellness Test right before SummerSlam some time. It was also noted that Andy is still technically a developmental talent and WWE usually doesn't announce suspensions, releases or failures from developmental.

- PWTorch reports that WWE is considering St. Louis at a top city candidate to host a future WrestleMania event at the Edwards Jones Dome. Company officials recently met with the St. Louis Sports & Visitors Commission about hosting WWE's biggest event. However, it's said that there is slim to no chance to the Dome hosting WrestleMania because it's owned by Stan Kroenke, the owner of the Denver Nuggets. Wrestling fans will remember Kroenke from 2009 when RAW was bumped from the Pepsi Center because of the NBA playoffs. Vince McMahon went on RAW and tried to start a feud with Kroenke over the "Denver Debacle."

St. Louis! Thats Harley Race country...and more recently Randy Orton country. Guess they gotta give RKO something big to do if they have Mania there.

I hope Bret referees that match in a televised segment.

Nash looks younger with the dark hair but if he's not going by Diesel its not as necessary. even in WCW he eventually went with more of a blond color.

Guess he wants to be "Old Sexy" or "Big Daddy Gray." The "badass grandpa" is pretty entertaining though, look at Eastwood.

LOTS OF INSIGHT INTO NEW STEVE AUSTIN DVD

By Mike Johnson on 2011-08-18 15:31:57

Jim Ross posted a new blog on his official website at JrsBarBQ.com discussing a number of topics, including his work this week on the forthcoming WWE DVD set on Steve Austin. In regard to the Austin DVD, Ross wrote:

"Worked Tuesday night viewing the new Stone Cold DVD with Steve Austin and the talented WWE TV production crew. Austin's FOUR DVD set will be in stores around the end of November and should be on shelves worldwide for the holidays.

@steveaustinBSR and I did alternate commentary ala a narration on Steve's Wrestlemania bouts vs. Bret Hart (WM13), HBK (WM15), and the Rock (WM17). Even though these matches have been on other DVDS they have never had our alternate commentary which will provide fans will a unique, inside look at the matches in both an informative and humorous, at times, manner. This was one of the most enjoyable broadcasting experiences that I've had in years.

The closing music video for the 2+ hour documentary portion of the Austin DVD is as moving as any I've ever experienced in the business.

Steve was really hands on in the production of this DVD which makes it more personal and special. Plus, it includes a visit to his South Texas, Broken Skull Ranch. Many major names within the business are included with comments on the DVD including Vince McMahon, HHH, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Christian, CM Punk, Rock, Paul Heyman, Dutch Mantell and many others."

I prefer the grey hair....he's funnier that way...still think outside of WCW, he was at his best trying to "save" the X Division, hanging out with Alex Shelly

Andy failed a wellness test? I thought he was all straight edge?

No love for his look as "The Russian?"

I remember when he cut his hair for that in WWE.

Maybe he should have shown up on Raw with his Super Shredder look.

One thing would be for certain about a St. Louis Wrestlemania....the chances of the WWE selling out that place are greater than a Rams home game.

I'm glad to see Austin is getting another DVD, I have his other one but it doesn't have the 2 hour documentary like the Hart, HBK and Flair DVD's have.

Always nice to see some new Mickie pics. :hrt:

Give Sarah Stock all the credit in the world for working through this and making it a part of her character. Plus it works as a look, too.

Indeed, it shows a lot of guts and invention from her, although TNA probably didn't offer to take care of her so she's had to make this move.

God amongst men.

 :D

Interesting comparison, and given the lack of female masked wrestlers it actually sets her apart from the shiny outfitted lookalikes that often bounce down the ramp.

I remember that, it was only Beth's second night in the company wasn't it?
The matches could be great if they get the kind of time the Mickie vs Tara feud got.

Maybe he should have shown up on Raw with his Super Shredder look.

:hehe:

Now here is a perfect Wrestlemania opponent for Cena. :D
