The Dark Knight Ideas for how Warner Bros Will Begin The Hype.

Remember when they had just started making the first film and all that was on the offical website was the new logo? That made a serious impact on me!

I was just wondering if any one had any ideas for how they should wet appetitites for the next film, (apart from the excellent first movie of course!!!!!)

The biggest hype (other than posters trailers etc) will probably be when who's playing the Joker is announced. I imagine that will be all over the news like when Bale was cast as Batman.

if done right i think some sort of joker cackling laugh audio on the website might be quite atmospheric.

though the casting will definitely build the hype, i think the first teaser will really get people excited. it should just be something like batman in some sort of pose on a rooftop at night. maybe a voiceover or something, and then batman swings/glides off the roof and the teaser ends with the logo, title, and joker's laughter.

that would be enough to make me wet my pants.

ugh. please no Harley Quinn. she was created for the cartoon just for the little kiddies and to give Joker a sidekick. let's stick with the actual Batman canon and stick with the original villains.

since she was popular and deep enough to get ported into the comics, Im pretty sure that makes her "Canon".

She's loved by lot of Batfans and she made her debut in comics .

I could see it happening. It'll be about 1 year before the release of the film, and Spidey 3's teaser came about 1 year ahead of that film too. If they do have a teaser ready in time, it'll most definatley be with Spider-Man 3.

Wb should change marketing strategy and start making better trailers with more action and dramatic scenes.

Well, I dont want the same strategy, which they used with BB's promotion.

Better will be, if teaser is released in November, but it will be much better.

She debuted in the early 90s cartoon. she then crossed over into the comic book. early 20s, college-age kids were not the target audience for the cartoon. hence, she was created for the kiddies.

Wrong... she was added in by the comics after she came in the toons... she doesn't belong in Nolan's vision though... I want to see her but it's lame...
