i'm looking forward to it since The Forgotten mini was awesome:up:

Hahaha! I guess he took Donna's advice and started off with Charlie Chaplin. Too bad my shop probably won't get it since they didn't get the first two mini-series.

my comic shop only just got in issue 5 of the forgotten...

but i use an online shop that gets them in sharpish:up:

Knowing how my local comic shop runs, it's probably already as good as pulled.

Kinda odd timing though, considering we are at the end of Tennant's run, wonder if it'll switch over to the Eleventh Doctor at some point? Or even focus on other Doctors?

You didn't read the article, did you?

It takes place after series 4, and kinda inbetween the current specials. They're planning about 18 issues with the 10th Doctor, and will switch to the 11th Doctor after that. By the time they reach issue #19, the 5th series will have ended, and they'll finally be able to see what he'll look and sound like.

So yeah, definite switch.

I hope Pia Guerra comes back to do some of the issues. Apparently she stopped doing the art in The Forgotten so abruptly because a friend passed away.

I've gotta wait to get the trade of The Forgotten. I really really want it though.

the forgotten was worth the trouble it took to get, very worth it. you should enjoy:up:

The Forgotten was fun. I'll give the ongoing a try. I hope they can get a good line-up of artists for it; IDW's had some trouble finding decent artists for other TV adaptations in the past (*cough*Angel*cough*).

IDW do get some fantastic artists, but most of the time from what i've seen they don't use them on franchise stuff...:csad:

the guy thats doing issue 1 of the on going did some comics for the torchwood magazine and it was a nice run so i'm hopeful:up:

Yeah, IDW's all over the place in terms of art. On one hand, they've got Ashley Wood doing basically his only comic work right now for them. On the other hand, they've got... well, 99% of the artists who drew Angel: After the Fall.

But that cover is encouraging. I like the art on that. Sort of whimsical but still clear and well rendered. If the rest of the series has art of that quality, I'll be happy.

The only gripe I have with it is, what I'm assuming is the sonic screwdriver looks like the Doctor is holding a gun. :o

Eh, that's just an awkward perspective. I'm sure the sonic screwdriver will be its normal, non-gun self.

you can't really screw up the the sonic...

anyhow, i'm hoping*fingers crossed*they somehow manage to work Jack into a story...i'd love that...

first two parter is called 'Silver Scream' and has the dr and chaplin, which is obvious really... and after that is a 4 part story called fugitive

just incase anyone cares

I wonder what "fugitive" refers to. I doubt it's the Doctor, since he doesn't really have any authorities above him to be a fugitive to now that the Time Lords are gone.

well it could be the dr running like in human nature but without the whole watch thing...

it's all a guessing game really isn't it?

not from the ongoing but a one shot...

DOCTOR WHO: AUTOPIA

Written by John Ostrander, art and cover by Kelly Yates.

An All-American creative team tackles the celebrated Doctor in this special standalone tale. An adventure where the Doctor and his companion Donna arrive on a utopian planet where robots do all the manual labor. But things aren't quite what they seem...

32 pages, $3.99.

i think the main thing we have to take from this is:

DONNA!!! DONNA!!!:woot::woot::woot:

i do find it strange that i've only heard that IDW have the rights to use tennant and martha in the comics...although i suppose that they'd obviously have to change with the forgotten...so who knows

Doctor Who: A Room With A Deja View

A murder has taken place. Committed by a member of a species that lives in the opposite direction to the timeline. Who, from its own perspective, has not yet committed the crime in question.

A locked house murder mystery where the culprit is clear from the beginning. But the process is anything but. And the Doctor lands smack bang in the middle of it all.

"Doctor Who: A Room With A Deja View," $3.99, published by IDW this July, alongside the first issue of the ongoing series.

also, FYI, the forgotten trade is out now, GO BUY!!
