If Batman and Superman fought each other,who do you think would win and why ?

If it had to happen and Batman and Superman were to fight each other, who do you (seriously or humorously) reckon would win in, saying why you think so. It can be between whatever version of Batman you most admire in live action film, animation or comics and whatever version of Superman you most admire in live action film – TV (Tom Welling, Brandon Routh, the late great Chris Reeve) animation or comics.

George Reeves Superman Vs. Adam West Batman: Superman. (Although Batman could pull out his Anti-Superman-Spray)
Reeve Superman Vs. Burton Batman: Superman
Routh Superman Vs. Bale Batman: Batman, because Routh Superman is thinking of Lois all the time

Don´t know. If this were a smple fist-to-fist fight. Then I would say Superman. But then again Batman is always prepared to almost anything, so in another circumstances I would say Batman. I agree with most of TrueToTheCore argument.

But many villains including Lex Luthor had Kryptonite and didn't beat him. ANd BTW, kryptonite ring... Superman could just fly into the air and roast him from above. Or push him away really fast. Or anything. I think Batman and Superman fights are like an ant fighting a lion. That's simply another category. Put Batman against Deathstroke, Judo Master, Wildcat, whoever, and put Superman against Darkseid, Vartox or General Dru-Zod.

Eh? Have you read the story? Superman did not want to fight. Batman had help. Batman used Kryptonite (it's like Superman wearing armour against the Kryptonite rays). Batman DIDN'T win. Not that he wanted. He probably knew that there-is-no-way-he-could-win.

yeha, but lex luthor has no wheres bear the training (mental or physically) as batman does.

as for "flying into the air and etc etc", yeah, i guess that would work if superman were attacking bats out of nowhere or was just being a *****. if it came down to it and supes really wanted to fight batman could take him down, batman'd have his kryptonite out and have him weak before he could push him or fly away.

he has said, on numerous occasions, that he has fail safes for every JLA member. so i wouldn't put my money on anyone but bats

Superman. Batman can outsmart him, but he can't outrun him or defeat him in a fair fight. Only way I can see Batman winning, is that he manages to manipulate Superman into some kind of kryptonite/red sun/magic/psychological deathtrap. And when has that ever worked?

...But I have to say that Batman has more guts than Supes.

just read the hush storyline, they have a epic battle. i couldn't say who wins though they both take a battering. If Batman uses the kryptonite ring and keeps close to superman, not allowing him to fly about and use his laser eyes he would win.

^No he wouldn't. Batman only managed to stand against Superman just for some time that Catwoman could kidnap Lois. BTW, Superman was fighting against mind control, and that's the only reason why Batman managed to break the spell. Otherwise Supes could have killed him in few seconds. Batman himself admidded this.
