If 'Batman Begins' were a graphic novel...

...where would you rank it among Batman's storylines? Anywhere near the top? The bottom? Indifferent?

I find it interesting that it was far more 'true' to the original character than any of the other movies ... only hardly any Batman stories ever depicted long periods of time before Bruce Wayne became Batman - some would say de-mystifying the character, others would say making him more realistic.

And I'm asking this in relation to someone drawing the artwork from the shooting script, as opposed to the images you have in your mind from the movie, if that's at all possible.

I think a lot of it would depend on who would be adapting it into a comic. The quality could really vary created depending on the creative team. That said, generally, personally, I've always prefer BB to YO as Batman's origin.

i think, while i liked the movie quite a bit, if it were a graphic novel it'd just be okay.

I love the movie because it's the closest to the comics/graphic novel representations.
If it was a graphic novel, continuity wise, I'd think of it as an Elseworld's story.

I'd give it something like a B... good effort, it's got the spirit of a good Batman yarn, but it's just doesn't stand out from the crowd.

I think it would stand out though, things like the use of the batsuits armor as a plot device, and bringing Joe Chill back (although, now the comics have done that since BB did it so well) and expanding on Ra's and Bruce's relationship. Rachel probably would have been embraced too, b/c it wouldn't have been Holmes.

I too prefer it over YO.
