As alot of you know cillian murphy auditioned for the role back in the day and while not getting it nolan liked him enough to give him scarecrow. But how do you think he would have done had he been selected? How would the films have been affected?

I just hoped he would have been better than he was doing Crane.

I don't think he would have been better than Bale anyways.

I think he's an great actor so he woould been good Bruce/Batman as well as Bale.

I just wished Nolan used him more in TDK.

I think picking Murphy for Batman would have been a more out of left field choice than Michael Keaton. He is considerably shorter than even Keaton (Murphy is 5ft 8 and looks small framed), and has what could almost be called an androgynous look at times.

Murphy is a great actor, but has never struck me as a leading man type at all. I'm wondering if he did a screen test-along with hundreds of others-and the unique, kind of creepy look he had stuck out so much Nolan remembered him when he was casting for Scarecrow?

He's a really good actor, but all wrong for Bruce Wayne.

I wouldn't have watched the movie! He is even more wrong than Keaton.

Good actor, but he's not Batman material at all.

I think Cillian Murphy would make a good Bruce Banner.

Neither Bruce Banner or specially Crane should be pretty boys.

Is he? Well since it's a movie that's the least of problems.

Yeah, but a problem still and a problem thats easily avoidable by casting someone else, which fortunely Nolan did.

Or just solve it easily. If they can make Superman fly they can make Cillian look a little taller.

The dude's only 5'9" why would you cast him when you got 6'0" Bale, who IMHO does a great job as Bruce Wayne / Batman. Christopher Nolan made the right choice.

Of course he did. Then point is that being a little shorter is not a problem when you're a great actor (which BTW Murphy is not IMO).
