If DC would reboot it's universe from scratch again, how would you do of each the bi

Seems a little unnecessairy to me. The explanation for why so many alien speicese look the same that I'd use would simply be that the Oans' existence, over time, influenced the universes morphigenic fields, causing many different and completely genetically unrelated speicese to have very similar traits.

Why would you want to take out the magic, though? I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just curious.

That explanation isn't bad, either. I was going for a more sci-fi explanation, that one is more pseudo-sci-fi, or spiritual. But yours is good, I wouldn't mind it.

As for the magic, I was thinking about re-vitalizing comics for the modern age. I'd sure like to see comics be a big deal like the once were, selling a million a month, but I just don't think that the magic aspects of the DCU are conducive to that in our day and age.

Of course. Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter were surely just flukes.

That's different from the DCU.

The guy asked me a question and I was simply explaining my thought process and opinion, no need to be hostile.

I'm not being hostile, just sarcastic. You just claimed that magic is not conducive to modern success. Harry Potter would beg to differ.

I claimed it is not conducive to modern success in the DCU.

Why? What separates the DC universe audience so much from the Harry Potter audience in your mind? They overlap quite a bit.

It's not the audiences, it's the universes. I'd just prefer the DCU without magic.

I'd probably stop reading DC altogether without magic. Different strokes.

My problem with that is it either completely changes or omits entirely a bunch of really good characters. Dr. Fate, Zatanna, Deadman, John Constantine, pretty much all of Wonder Woman's villains and supporting characters, all of the characters from Sandman, Swamp Thing, a lot of characters and concepts from the Doom Patrol, and many others would have to be made almost unrecognizable or be thrown out.

Yeah, I don't really care that he happens to look like an Earthling. It's a conceit of the character and, frankly, trying to explain it just makes it look worse for being in the spotlight.

Funny, that's pretty much my opinion on the speed force.

You've all made valid points and I conceit defeat.

Whoa! There are bisexuals in the DC universe?!
;)

Alright, I get the point. I'll make a mental note that if I ever become a writer for DC to never, ever write Aquaman and Wonder Woman in order to avoid "poorly" written stuff with "the utmost mundaneness". I get the point. I'll stick to what I'm good at.
