...and making his films now. Who do you think he would cast in what films. We know he liked to work with big movie stars and he loved blondes. Aside from the remake of Psycho in 1998 (which I doubt he would have used those actors) Who do you think in modern Holylwood fits into certain Hitchcockian roles?

I'd say Tom Hanks. He is often considered "a modern James Stewart". I could see him in Rear Window, The Man Who Knew Too Much, but especially Vertigo. Perhaps Naiomi Watts as Grace Kelly's roles in Rear Window.

Any thought?

Naomi Watts in all female roles.

Alright, who wants to make the obvious clawing at the lid of his coffin joke?

...he'd be in jail for rape.

The man had problems. Sad but true. Check it out.

:(

I agree War Party. Naomi Watts is the the first blonde that popped into my head instantly. Maybe Nicole Kidman. Possibly Kate Winslet even though she's not a natural blonde and Cate Blanchett.

what i want to know is whether people these days would be interested in his films. im talking the average movie goer. i've showed most of my friends Pyscho, which i think is the scariest movie ever made, and they think its the boringest movie ever made

I've seen Pyscho. I thought it was well made and love the start of the movie. But as soon as she got to the motel. I thought it got really boring. I didn't think it was that scary.

But you have to realize that when it was shown, the people in the audience had not seen all the Halloween movies, the Friday the 13th movies, etc.........this was scary stuff back then......we have seen so much blood and gore over the years, that yeah.....that is probably pretty lame......
