............and Sam Raimi, Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst were back on board:

They should do a "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends" type of film.

Things would not change much for Peter Parker/Spidey

Mary Jane Watson has put her acting career on hold and now teaches acting to inner-city children

And the two lovebirds have worked everything out and are now back together

They can bring in Shawn Ashmore (from X-Men) to reprise his role as Iceman/Bobby Drake

And bring in Danneel Harris to play Firestar/Angelica Jones

Bad idea. Couldn't happen anyway, dude. Fox owns the rights to any and all X-Men characters.

Oh, God, no. Even if it were possible. That series was hokey & ridiculous even by 80's standards.

It was hard enough to swallow Peter and Harry riding together on the sky stick. I couldn't imagine Spidey, Iceman, and Firestar saluting the flag at the end of the movie, with ice slides and all.

You could've at least finished the sentence before making it into a TWSS joke. Riding on a sky stick doesn't have the same effect? Come on now, sir, let's get real.

wow....just noticed this thread...and laughed hard reading it...this is the definition of a bad idea...imo of course...lawl

...and the internet continues its love-hate relationship with the word "should."

No, no and no. It would be a terrible idea to adapt that show into the big screen, and besides, what would "The Amazing Friends" be doing in Spider-Man 4?

If Raimi and co. were to continue the spidey franchise? I would SO endorse this idea.

if it were to be done right it should look like this

SM4 should've gone with these things:

1. Lizard as the main villain
2. Vulture as the secondary villain
3. Cletus Kasady
4. S.H.I.E.L.D involvement with capturing the Lizard (primary weapon "Carnage")
5. Madame Webb telling Peter the future of Spider-Man (glance at 2099 and a hint to Reign)
6. Peter and MJ marriage
7. As Carnage gives Spider-Man a beating in their final battle, Uncle Ben and Otto Octavius appear to give him hope for one last chance for survival
8. The reveal of Peter Parker as Spider-Man to the world
9. 5 years after the last of Spider-Man, a new figure appears to take the mantle. He calls himself "Ben" and government genetics trace back to Peter Parker constantly
10. Relationship between Adrian Toomes and Richard Parker
11. JJJ gains some respect for Spider-Man after truely looking through Peter's eyes
12. Bernard destroys the last of the Goblin gear (a set marked "Hobgoblin" is missing)

Thing is, according to Sam Raimi and a deleted scene the butler is a hallucination, representing Harry's good side.

If Raimi would of made SM4,he should of:

-Made sure MJ was not taken hostage by the villain.
-That spidey keeps his mask on when he is spidey.
-That the villain isn't connected to Peter Parker.
-Have the villain's mask stay on.
-Have JJJ send Peter to Florida to get some pictures of the Lizard.

Ya'll make fun of my thread now, but deep down, ya'll would've to see it if Maguire, Raimi, Ashmore, Harris and Dunst were onboard for it.

Have both MJ and Gwen be the damsels in the distress.. Cheesy, yes, but I think it would be interesting. Like it or not, Peter's relationship with MJ is the driving force behind these films, so it's sortof necessary for her to be in the finale. Maybe not as a damsel in distress, but she should have some role in it.

Lizard, Punisher, Kingpin as villains.

Show New York in the winter. I want to see it lit up for the holiday season.

Totally disagree with the first paragraph. I have had enough damsel-in-distress/hostage climaxes in the Spider-Man films as it is.

My ideal version of SM4:

- Overall the movie would be darker, though not TDK dark. Something in between and still appropriate for Spidey.

- The MJ relationship would be put on the back-burner. I'd either send her away to another country for some reason or essentially bring in Dunst for a glorified cameo. Raimi already spent way to much time on those two.

- Lizard would be the main villain and the ONLY main villain. If another villain were in the movie it would only be a quick battle in the beginning just to establish Spidey's been at it now for a few years and several other freaks have entered the picture since the conclusion of part 3.

- Peter would crack wise.

- The end of the film would set up the last 2 movies which ideally would feature a version of Sinister 6.

At first i tought this was a joke, trying to make Raimi's fourth SPider-man film intro the next Batman & Robin
