That we never got an X-23 movie.

While I didn't hate Apocalypse outright or anything, I always felt like Logan was actually the main (or at least the most worthwhile) continuation of the story thread started in the original trilogy and continued in The Wolverine and DoFP. Granted, Logan acts as a wonderful finale to this story thread, but it would have been awesome to get a Mangold directed X-23 movie, starring a teenage Dafne Keen, as a final sendoff/epilogue to the Fox X-men universe.

Logan was already a final send-off. Xavier and Wolverine both dead, all the X-Men already dead. Just because X-23 survived doesn't necessarily merit building a whole new film around her. She worked as Logan's surrogate daughter. If it had led to Alpha Flight or something, then maybe..

But, as it stands, Logan is the final farewell Jackman wanted.

I don't really care about X-23 even in the comics. So its not a lost to me.

It won't be at all surprising if we get one eventually regardless. X-23 is one of Marvel's most successful female solos and they've been making a hard push to include more women and poc. I mean, obviously not a continuation with the Fox-Men dead and buried, but it's something.

I really want to see that X-Force film!! :csad:

I want to see a X-Force film..... but not with that Domino. and with a taller/white hair Cable. But thats me

Yeah I don't want to see X-Force with Fox's Domino. And who needs the X-Force when you got the X-Men.

Like let's be real. In the comics, X-Men are Coke original, New Mutants are Coke Light, X-Force are Coke Zero and X-Factor are Coke Vanilla. Yes it would kinda be sad for these spin offs to end abruptly, but in exchange for a definitive X-Men film from Marvel, it would be worth it!

As I said, Logan of course works spendidly as a final send-off. But it's also a depressing send-off, whereas a Mangold directed X-23 film could potentially be a send-off (or maybe "epilogue" is the better word) that injects a little bit of hopefulness into the future of this fictional world.

Also, I feel like I should mention that this movie is already in the works:

It's not just a hypothetical thing. It's in the early stages, obviously, but I think it would be awesome if it actually ended up coming out before Disney puts the Fox Xmenverse to bed.
