If wrestling was real and you were in the business, what would you prefer to win? RR or MITB?

One that isn't Bryan themed?

The Wrestling Thread is the home of the Funkasaurus!

When you're the Wrestling Thread, you are the Wrestling Thread 4 Life!

Most probably the Rumble. Though I wouldn't mind wiining the MitB either, as I'd have some cool ideas for customising that breifcase. :cwink:

I demand another D-Bryan themed thread title.

Did we use The Wrestling Thread Has Undeniable Sex Appeal yet?

I think I would side for MITB. Looking at Sheamus and Rio, it doesn't scream headliner anymore.

A RR win guarentees a more competative title match but MITB has the element of surprise/shock and it seems to MEAN more . The last few RR winners have been losers at WM or they haven't been ready for that push (Del Rio).

The MITB winners tend to be treated better creatively. I mean...even Daniel Bryan has had a decent run. Better than Del Rios last year. Who would a have thought that????

In the long term MITB seems to mean more so if I were a WWE wrestler I'd want to win MITB. The cash in might be kind of cheap at first but its treated like a bigger deal right now.

Don't think so, but I wouldn't worry too much if I were you, as it probably will be.

I'm biased of course but I want my title because it will be a first in Wrestling Thread history.

Neither does the MitB either to be fair, becuase 9 times out of 10 when it's cashed in, it's out of left field.

But yeah, it doesn't seem to have that prestige about it, that it once had.

I remember when he first cashed in and we all thought it would last a few weeks.

Yep, he's had a better run that Edge had after his first cash in. But Edge seems more memorable to be, most likely due to that awesome 'Live Sex Celebration'. :hehe:

Let's hope Dolph Ziggler doesn't try the same thing when he actually wins the title.

Given the fact that the build up seems to primarily be focusing more on the top three matches of Rock versus Cena, Triple H versus Undertaker, and CM Punk versus Chris Jericho, I’m surprised that they didn’t just have Jericho win the royal rumble as it was supposedly originally planned so that their world title match would actually feel like a main event title match that was created as a result of a royal rumble victory.

If anything, I’m starting to feel that the reason why they had Sheamus win it was so that his match with Bryan would have some type of prestige, “It Factor”, to it like how the other ones have.

Show & Cody should be 1st. Orton/Kane should be 2nd. Taker/HHH should be 3rd. I'm quite sure Taker/HHH won't be worth all the hype.

Also, I think Bryan's walking out of WM w/the belt

The Royal Rumble easily for me. Not that MITB is bad, but with the Rumble it has more history. MITB has already been proven to be something that doesn't guarantee any long term success. Just look at the guys who win it, get their title run, then fade from memory and get booked poorly into obscurity.

With the Rumble it's been there longer, and when you look at the guys who have won it you're in good company. Sure they haven't built it up the same way that they used to because WWE bookers have no sense of history, but it still would be great to be one of the Royal Rumble winners.

If any of those four matches should open the show, it should be Sheamus vs. Bryan, but I'd rather they not have ANY of the main event matches be the opener. Get another match to do it.

Also, leave the **** ton of backstage vignettes and promos for RAW and Smackdown where they belong. I am not paying north of $60 to watch backstage vignettes.

Rampage in the WWE? Hell yes I'm all for that!

And if Jericho/Punk starts WrestleMania...I will riot. Unless that match is for like 40 minutes long, because those two deserve a LOT of time, imo.

Walked into a store the other day to check some wrestling figures out.... :/

All the good ones were bought already :oldrazz:

Rampage Jackson in WWE = Tyrone Jabar Williams Sanders

It used to be that the RR win was reserved for someone that had reached a certain level AND a was storyline tool...now they seem to be only using it as more of a storyline tool to put someone where they want or to get them over quick. Del Rios RR win didn't mean sh** in the long term. Its not much better than Mabels KOTR win in my eyes.

RR DOES guarantee a spot on Wrestlemania--which is always special--but a few MITB winners have also ended up going into Mania anyway AS champion instead of challenger.

The RR PPV has more history but the win has lost some of its luster.

You sir are a cad for putting that in my mind. :o
