Usually anyone that gets the WWE title has been developed enough to have some kind of symbol.

They are a breath of fresh and seem to be booked by someone other than the guys that book Ziggler, Cesaro, Cody etc.....

I'm not surprised the new belt looks iffy. The last couple of belt designs (Diva's,Tag team) look pretty bad as well. They need to hire better designers.

I bet if Punk was the one to debut the new belt everyone would be tripping over themselves to say awesome it is.

I don't like that the centerplate is just a giant WWE logo. That's so lazy. Where's the intricate design that makes it look more prestigious?

Agreed, if they win the title, they are established enough to have a logo. Example, RKO (Orton), RATEDR (Edge), metallic Skull (Austin), Y2J (Jericho), Spinner or Hustle,Loyaty,Respect (Cena) etc.
By chance if they don't, they'll probably recieve the globes or WWE logo.

No, basically that is pretty much the belt Van Petrol told us about last summer and we all said it sucked back then, Punk himself also said the new design sucked.

I doubt it. I like Daniel Bryan, but the tag belt around his waist is a weak design. Doesn't matter if he's the one wearing it.

This is very true. And the guys that don't would probably never win the belt anyways, lol.

Indeed. Them winning their first three matches has quickly made me a huge fan of them; I just hope it doesn't come crumbling down during WrestleMania though. I'd hate it if they all job to Ryback.

I really like the tag titles myself.

Rock should have brought back the big eagle belt. I'm going to design one myself tonight. I'll post it in the morning. NDX you should do a belt design

Exactly, the big gaudy WWE logo just looks tacky, there should be a globe in the middle and maybe some small flags around the globe with WWE Champion written in medium lettering below the globe.

Why is everyone so miffed about the new belt? we've known the basic design since about august last year.

overall, the title doesnt have the prestigious feel the 3 predating the spinner did, but its leagues better than overblinged spinner. yeah, it still has bling but it works with the rustic almost bronze gold they went with.

the main plate is somewhat plain, but is okay compared to the cluster**** main plate on the spinner. and it does give it a timeless feel.

as far as the side plates, they'll likely be changed to something universal or remain champion specific, which is fine.

    overall, I give it a 7/10

And to quote a great man,

The question is, would Roidback have a needle as his symbol should the tragedy of him becoming WWE champion occur?

They are being booked as the team equivalent of Triple H or Brock Lesnar, a heel group that have more in common with the NWO than the Nexus. I think it should take a team of guys with savvy to stop them, brute power of a meathead has already proven useless 3 times.

Definitely. But as Ive been saying for a while, it was gonna feel gimmicky and like a personal belt if a wrestler themselves debuted it, unlike the prespinner titles

lol...there's probably some truth to that statement.

I don't think it's as bad as everyone is making it out to be, but it obviously doesn't measure up to the standard set by the winged eagle or the big gold belts. However, after 8 years of that other monstrosity, I'll take it!

Let's face it, the days of beautiful, intricate WWE championship belts are gone. As incrediblejeff mentioned, each new belt that has been introduced over the past few years has been terrible. WWE isn't interested in the tradition of championship belts anymore. They don't even want to call them "belts." They're "titles" now...trophies with leather straps.

Shawn Michaels could've debuted that belt and I would've went "Why, Shawn...why?"

It is more tolerable than the spinner belt though. And I do like the gold tint chosen along with the black. The design just leaves so much much much more to be desired.

For a moment with Rock's speech, I actually thought he was going to pull out a revamped Winged Eagle.

We would have all been happier if the brought back the undisputed title design, but its 8 years too late for that.

I'd rather have an almost generic title with a somewhat timeless feel and kinda gimmicky side plates than the spinner which no matter how they modify it, is john cena's personal belt.
