If there was a Green Lantern on Smallville, which one should it be Alan, Hal, Guy, John or Kyle.

Alan because Hal Kyle or John will more then likely be used for the movies.

Even though Green Lantern isnt right for SV;

If they had to use him;

I'd personally prefer Alan Scott (but that will never happen in a million years; they prefer younger heroes).

Kyle Rayner would be the choice that most fits into SV and the existing JL characters.

there is only one GL: Hal Jordan. The rest are just pretending to be him.

Someone's neglecting the fact that there were the Green Lantern Corps long before Hal Jordan even came into play. He maybe the greatest but the title is earned and its legacy, so by each and every individual earns the right to the title for their own reason.

Honestly I hope that SMALLVILLE doesn't get to touch any of the GREEN LANTERN. Hal deserves the big screen, not SV as his first live action appearence onscreen.

easy nerd ;) , I'm well aware of the history of the GL Corps. I was talking about the main comic Green Lanterns.

Wasnt he in that JLA pilot back in the 90's? Or did they use Guy Gardner?

Maybe, there coudl a kid who is hearing voice (GLC, sounds like a football firm) and Clark findfs out that these are people after him. In the end they find out that he is to be chosen to be a GL. The boy isn't ready and runs away from his destiny. Clark realises taht this is what he has been doing and convinces the boy to become a GL because its the right thing to do and then, takes his finals steps towards his destiny... then Al and Miles forget about what happened and have him pine over Lana again.

I do agree with you on the whole Hal situation but honestly he deserves a better live action start then SMALLVILLE. Leave the replacements to SMALLVILE. Let Hal take the big screen by storm and show everyone the true meaning of fearless.

We're all nerds here :)

Hal Jordan on the same JL team as Kid Flash Bart Allen would be messed up.

Rayner or Stewart are SV's best bets.

I would just say Hal or John since they are older then Kyle and could already be in the corps for a while when they show up.

But putting a GL in an episode would be one of the easiest charecters to fit in.

Who do you guys think should play Smallville GL, and what should the costume look like.

lol I honestly hope to god DC doesn't let any Green Lantern come to SMALLVILLE. Don't get me wrong on this one, but Hal or Kyle are better saved for the big screen or at least a TV series of their own. Same for Wonder Woman.

Kyle...Hal Jordan's a grown man and a freakin pilot so I'd be kinda pissed if they made him a teenager with a totally retooled origin. At least everybody else (no matter how time warped it is) kept their basic origins. It's much easier to just use Kyle than to deage Hal or John.

Great thing about GLs is that they don't even need a costume either. Just regular clothes and a ring.

I pretty much consider Smallville Ultimate DC so might as well start bringing in more "Ultimate" versions of these characters. This is why I'd be okay with someone like Wonder Woman making an appearance. Batman's off training somewhere so there really is no way to possibly bring him in so some nice references every now and then would be great.

The thing is the suit comes with the ring. The only exception that rule was Alan Scott, who had fate in his hands with the lantern on board the train. He designed his costume himself and went from there. The others were more or less restricted to the Corp design, which as Kyle found out from putting on Hal's ring. It came with the job. It was his own choice to modify it and every Lantern does.

The problem is when the ring activates the suit comes with it automatically. Again something Hal found out back in the day in the Griffien run on the title.

I'd hate to see Hal as a teenager as well (-cringes- Emerald County. Yes, that's an actual fan film someone made).

You could easily tie Hal Jordan in with Lois' storyline, by having him be an old friend of hers (or maybe a friendly rival or even an enemy) from her "army brat" days. He doesn't even necessarily need to have the ring or the lantern at the time, it'd just be a cool little nod to the fans while using his character to somehow develop the character of Lois.

Nice one :) but knowing AlMiles, they'd probably already hand him the ring earlier than he should have had or something along those lines. They want their effects and action sequences.

They want their love triangles. He'd probably have some kinda relationship with Lois........ like Aquaman and Green Arrow.

-Cringes- It would be nice to see Lois by herself for a change instead of taking all these men with her ala Lana every season.

Yeah, really. Just have Kyle be a friend of Jimmy's who works at the Planet. No more love triangles. This show became a soap opera so fast my head did a 720.
