I’ll say no to Milo, because, his only like 5' 9", which is too short for cyke
and he's not really a tough guy type enough for logan

Actually early Jean wasn't sexy in any way shape or form. She was actually cute. There wasn't anything sexy about her. I think a MUCH more subtly sexy Jean is exactly what the character needs. It won't make her so deperately ****ty, and a lot less firecrotchity.

It will also help that annoying triangle. Instead of lusting after her it would make both men seem as if they wanted her for more than just a lay and it would solidify everybody.

Plus if Jean wasn't conventionally pretty, it would force her to really more on her personality to stand out, instead of the wooden zzzzzzzz that we were stuck with. Jean would be like she was in the early to mid 70's.

Nah Laura wouldn't be any different even with a script with personality than Famke. Even in the movie I saw her in Laura was still stiff and dry. I would prefer someone with a comedic background (who is versatile enough for drama) for Jean.

She doesn't have to be beautiful. That's what makeup, stylist, good camera angles, and stunt doubles are for.

Btw, I think Union would make an AWFUL Storm. I would love to see a young British actress for her if this is 616 based, or a broadway actress for UXM version. She would have to be someone who can hold her own against Wolverine's character.

i think laura would be good but yes she has to have some good looks,you arent going to cast a hideous piece of crap lol,she doesnt have to be dropdead sexy or anything but cant be ugly either,good angles etc dont really make you look beautiful,nor does make up,at least not by much

Make-up does wonders. I would rather see an average looking Jean than a beautiful one that leaves me to believe that she's a piece of wood like unfortunately Famke did in the movies. She needs to have some kind of personality. That's why I would love to have an actress who is used to being funny instead of glamour shot beautiful. Outside of the couple of boo-hoos and she didn't have a memorable performance. This is why Jean has suffered in the long run of comics. Outside of being a well-in-demand piece of re-read a**, she isn't very well known outside of her fan base.

This is why I hate the flat doctor aspect. It made her lack of memorable actions...worse

It's not Famke's fault, no more than it is James, Halle's or Anna's. But they need a new character make-over. One that actually works. I think that making her vibrate energetic and funny, more than beautiful is going to be a major plus.

This way when someone ask Wolverine, Angel, or Cyke why do you love Jean, something more than, "she's beautiful" can come out and make sense. Being beautiful is a dime a dozen, being memorable isn't.

This is why, over the years when compared to Psy, Rogue, Storm, Mystique, Jean has fallen to the wayside. She can't stick out in a crowd. (That and her lack of diverse storylines). If she's to be THE GIRL. Then she needs to stand out, unlike the movie version.

See my thing is that when Cyke and Wolvie who are going to be at each other's throat for her, she better be more than a piece of ass.

She can be funny, quirky, smart, anything but the zzzzzzzzz that left a dry taste in everyone's mouth after the movies.

Again I'm not blaming Famke, cause what happened isn't the cast's fault. I don't believe they were mistcast either. It was a lack of decent writing and terrible misdirection based on misinterpreting the characters.

Prepon would look like Donna trying to be Jean who's pretending to be a doctor who mistakes the phrase "bedside manner" to actually mean something sexual.

See that's the thing. Prepon hasn't done anything else outside of a handful of meh roles in small films.

This is the EXACT reason why I don't ever want to see Gabrielle Union as Storm. Gabrielle has done the same role over and over again. Pretty black woman with a minor problem. (Can't keep a man, damsel in distress, crappy friends...) nothing substantial or memorable. Same with Prepon.

I would rather go with actors who have been known to show range, who have backgrounds in drama, comedy, and action. That's why I would loooove to see some stage actors do it.

But no actor alive can save a ****ty script.

Edit: Bale was an awful actor to use:P He's the most versatile contempary actor alive. From Newsies, Little Women, American Psycho, The Machinist, Batman Begins, to The Prestige....common! He's a singer, dancer, voice actor, can do any accent, comedy, drama NAME IT.

keep in mind this (in my vision) will be 10 years from now,someone can do alot in 10 years,plus,yeah shes got crappy small roles but lot of actors do,maybe she hasnt gotten her 'dream role' yet?so its only partially based on this present time,again,people can do alot in 10 years,plus watch karla,i for one havent seen it yet but ive heard it was very good and i know the whole story,veeery ****ed up

Lol, I've followed Bale's career since Newsies. He's the actor's actor. Small roles are used like stepping stones.

I know for a fact that Berry took the X1 role, not for the money, the wasn't much involved, she took it for the mainstream exposure. Sure it was still for the wrong reasons, but with that script I can see why.

I would still go for more average looking for Jean instead of another former model. Ditto for Storm and Rogue. I would go for someone who could be a debutante snob for Storm, funny/party girl for Jean, and normal people can relate to for Rogue.

For Storm and Jean have to learn to change and become likable leader (Storm), and (harder and in control) Jean. That's part of their epic character arc.

I know, I am late to replying on this, (haven’t been home) but, there is a big difference between 5'9 and 6'2,
especially if your looking to cast a 5'10" (Laura Prepon) actress to play next to him
Jean can not, and should not be taller then Scott, not even an inch lol

(furthermore, I am kinda tired of hearing him be cast in ever role, just cause he's on heroes, I never heard anyone mention him for any role, before heroes came out, I think he's a good actor, with good poetical, but, he doesn't need to be cast in every comic movie role out there)
