if you want to reboot batman which villain would you choose?

some maybe already re used:

Mr Freeze
poison ivy

others
Hugo Strange
man- bat
clay face

I would love to see Man-Bat or Clayface in an almost horror-themed Batman solo at some point but I don't think we'll see either in Reeves' upcoming movie. I'm sure we'll get a meeting between Leto's Joker and Batman one day - with Harley thrown in for good measure. Hugo Strange would be an interesting one (I always thought he would have been a good fit for Burton's style).

On one hand, do something different, and original. Instead of having the same villains, start out with Hugo Strange. They way, you have an old school Batman villain, mad scientist, dealing with horror, plus Arkham is the base of his operations. Plus, he helps create the foundations for other creatures from the Rogues Gallery. Like Man Bat, like Clayface, etc.

On the other hand, the problem with this is that alot of people want the classic villains, especially in the first. So regardless, the first would if not must include the Joker and even Harley.

Clayface
Hugo Strange and the Monster Men
Hush

Holiday. If they are going to go for more of a detective story, a mystery like TLH would be a great choice.

Either villains that haven't been done yet, or villains that got seriously botched the last time they were seen in a live-action Batman movie *koff*Freeze and Ivy*koff*. I think we can do without the likes of Joker, Two-Face and Catwoman for a while.

Also, the more physically outlandish the villains, the better. Since we finally got Killer Croc in a movie, I'm ready for Man-Bat and Clayface. Heck, throw in Dr. Phosphorus too, since he's probably the closest we'll ever get to seeing Derek Powers/Blight in a movie.

Preferably anyone but Catwoman, the Joker, Two-Face, the League. Concentrate on the story, not stuffing popular names into it.

The Penguin. He is long due a return to the big screen.

I'd like to see them go with just one 'name' villain for a movie. We haven't had that since Batman '89.

My vote remains the same:

1. If they are going for a cerebral detective story, Hugo Strange

2. If they are going for a more action story that emphasizes the weirdness of the world, Mr Freeze

Christoph Waltz as Hugo Strange. Make my dream come true, Matt Reeve.

I thought they just rebooted Batman two years ago in Batman vs. Superman.....Its insane they are pressing the reset button after two films and cameo in Suicide Squad...AHHHH who am I kidding ? Its DC. They have no idea what they are doing.

For the answer, lets do a serious Riddler, PLEASE !!!!

Casey Affleck
Guy Pearce
Johnny Depp
Leo DiCaprio (Never will happen)
Tom Hiddleton
Ed Norton
Hugh Jackman

Clayface
Court of Owls
Hugo Strange
Hush
The Mad Hatter
The Penguin
The Riddler

And if I'm completely honest with myself, I wouldn't even mind it if Reeves came up with an original villain, so long as he incorporated some classic rogues as secondary villains as well (Penguin and Catwoman easily spring to mind).

I'd be okay with it in principle. We haven't seen that since Mask of the Phantasm (although even then it borrowed heavily from The Reaper in Year Two).

poison ivy, man- bat , clay face, killer croc in one movie with mutants could see Deathstroke and Lex behind it.

Mr Freeze and The Penguin would make a good couple, but Penguin would need a big change maybe he could use an upgrade? from regular mob boss to a invetor and bio-chemist that could ccreate exploding penguins , penguin monsters and so on and toghether they want to freeze the World?

I'd love to see Red Hood with Joker as part of the ensemble and other villains in more minor roles (as Jason's targets)

I don't want a reboot. I'm perfectly fine with Ben Affleck.

That said, Deathstroke.
