If this is the last season. I really want them to spend a few extra bucks and have Coulson show up at the Avenger's new headquarters and at least one Avenger is there to see he is still alive.

Setting up a movie would be my dream. Just add 1 bankable star to the movie and get Joss Whedon to direct just like he did for Serenity.

Yeah, Coulson talking to at least one Avenger at the end would be nice. Maybe Steve, since he's kinda on the run too. (Or was. Who knows what Infinity War will bring.)

Chances are they'll probably end it with the team splitting up as characters get "closure" of some kind. And, IMO, if any of the cast were to jump ship and move to the movies, it'd be Daisy and maybe Fitz and Simmons. Yo Yo too, unless her "closure" is giving up being a SHIELD agent after her traumatic year and going off with Mack, whose also had quite a year (and has been making noises about leaving for a while.) Not necessarily together. I wouldn't mind if one of the Bucky Barnes movies (that I hope they'll make) is a less psychedelic version of Man on the Wall and he and Daisy go off for an adventure. It's not really like she's got a lot to stay on Earth for if the team splits up. And she'd be fine living on a ship seeing as she used to live in a van...

But the final reveal will be that Tripp didn't die, he was in fact also Inhuman only he was made invisible and has been trailing them all and saving their asses in various ways all along and he finally gets control enough of the power to be seen again.

They kill Ward again. Just for the lulz.

That is why i hope he makes an appearance, even if its just for 30 seconds in the Infinity war movie..

I doubt this is the last season, but in any case, I'll echo what's been said already; a scene between Coulson and some of the Avengers - specifically the ones that felt his loss - so Steve, Stark & Thor.

Even if it's an after credit thing when you've got the three of them in a room and Coulson walks in and simply says "hey guys" and we get to witness the reaction of the trio. It would be a nice send off - hopefully we will get to see Coulson interact more with these characters on the big screen though, however hopeful that is.

They had a great opportunity to film something when filming the Avengers recently to either have one of them in the show or have Coulson appear in Infinity War.

Although, Coulson (Gregg) was not involved with the giant group shot celebrating 10yrs of Marvel movies.

Have Phil and May get together, and they both go off in Lola with Phil saying "It's time to let Mr Stark know I'm alive."

Phil dies so the movies never have to deal with that dangling thread...because they never will anyway.

SHIELD is left in whatever shape the movies want it to be in. If Feige says that he considers SHIELD to be a thing of the past, then definitively end the team. If he says that he wants them as a legit force, then end this "government is hunting us" storyline.

May retires...they've already set it up that she will never be the fighter she once was.

Launch a superhero show out of this one. Deathlok (as an actual member...like...every week), Mockingbird, Hunter, Quake, Yo-Yo...I'm not sure if Ghost Rider fits with that team on a weekly basis...but fill the roster out as needed with other comic characters. Maybe close the book on Inhumans in the process. Honestly...all things considered (the terrible, franchise ruining miniseries...the possibility of getting the X-Men back) maybe the Inhumans should be exterminated.

I want to see the look on Daisy and Yo-Yo's faces when presented with someone being called "their" King. Then a flash forward to Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Johnson

This would have made a good final episode.

Yea I think Coulson has a well earned death scheduled. Best way to end it.

I've also played with the idea of anthology spy movies that can span across time.

Marvel presents: The S.H.I.E.L.D files.

You can bring back pre Avengers Coulson in the 90's. You can even have May and young Fitz/Simmons.

Not to mention isolated stories in the 50's with Agents Carter, 80's with Hank Pym etc.
As this is set in the past you can include villains like Klaw, Winter Soldier and even Black ops Killmonger. Maybe even Frank Castle.

Yea I'm down with that. AoS have indirectly created multiple proof of concept pilots with there story arcs.

*Deathlok: Speaks for itself. Maybe have him team up with Mockingbird.

*Supernatural type show: Ghost Rider, Darkhold redeemers supernatural investigation type thing. Marvels Xfiles

*Cosmic show: S.W.O.R.D, "Ravagers" could be Marvels Firefly

*Inhumans: Here me out. Not Royal family but earth based Inhumans living everyday lives. Reader spin off show would be perfect.

Well that would just tick off fans of the show if that was done. As a good few on sites I go no elsewhere want to see a good resolution to the Avengers learning of Coulson still being alive.

That'd be an excuse to not give that a proper resolution.

Possibly or May becomes the new Director or retires with Coulson.

They did want to a spin off out of this, but it wasn't picked up by ABC. I'd prefer that Inhumans was kept around (Not the show just Inhumans in general.)

In the show they practically flat out said what I have been posting elsewhere for years. Agent May is a mission specialist, MacKenzie an engineer. In US Military terms they are long service NCOs never on the overall command track. Where as Skye was a cadet and now Daisy is a young officer being groomed for overall command. If Coulson had his way just as he recommended a Director Mace he wants an Inhuman as the overall leader of the agency dealing with Inhumans and the other enhanced threats.

If people want a Cap cameo where he sees that Coulson is alive as Coulson retires forever...then...fine. But anyone who actually held out hope that the movies would grind a plot to a halt to explain the return of Coulson (aside from a comedy end credit scene) were fooling themselves.

As far as May goes...again, I may have heard wrong but I think its been addressed that her leg will never be 100%. She deserves to be able to stop fighting at the conclusion of this storyline.

I'm not suggesting that every Inhuman be killed...but I think it could be a cool tv storyline to have the public just decide...yeah, these freaks have to go. Prove Maximus right. Most of the cast gets killed...save Lockjaw, of course. That way...in a few years when some professor starts talking about how gifted non-Inhuman people all share a genetic abnormality called an "X-gene" and that many more people around the world have it...then those of us who watch tv will know, as this gene starts being triggered without an external force, that the world will not react well to their existence.

I wouldn't.. we've had way too many films/shows/comics, already go down that road "EEYWWW, people with superpowers, lets just kill them all off, in the name of preserving the purity of the human race"..

At this point, how many fans actually still care about this? I know I certainly don't. And it will honestly come across pointless and fan service-y.

The Royal family can head off on space adventures never to be seen again. I don't see any reason to hunt Inhumans on earth. Just ignore them and leave them in the background. If you really want to wash you hands of them, you could do a reverse of the deadly mutant killing Terrgin mist from Xmen vs Inhumans and have some kind of chemical cloud that kills inhumans. Maybe some cosmic fallout from the Thanos invasion.

It wouldn't be grinding the plot, it would be character motivation for them to team up once again - especially after Civil War when they have been torn apart by conflict.

Not until she fights Thanos. The Avengers need to bring in the Cavalry.

That could be a good way to address in the comics why people are totally fine with super-powered individuals like Thor and the Hulk, but for some reason not the X Men. That has always annoyed me in the comics - if people have prejudice against the X Men because they are different, then why not with non-Mutant super-powered heroes?

I do, as do many others. The best place for it to happen would be in Infinity War.

A lot of fans of the show care about this. Plus there were plans initially for Coulson to be in Iron Man 3 and Thor the Dark World. So the Avengers, or at least some of them learning Coulson was alive was going to happen.

Plus it's one of the biggest unanswered questions in the MCU. It's high time this was resolved. Infinity War is the best time for that to happen, if not than Avengers 4.

Color me surprised. When I'm wrong I'm wrong. And according to Jeph Loeb there may actually resolve it.

"It’s certainly something that will get resolved, and it may get resolved in a very surprising way,” Loeb told Entertainment Weekly."

I'm assuming Avengers 4. With the potential time jumps and reality bending there's plenty of easy ways to explain his appearance.

I read that on Reddit days ago. I hope this is resolved with the Avengers learning Coulson is alive and not with him dying like some think will happen, ensuring nothing changes.

Coulson being alive is not an unresolved story. We've been watching him for years on tv. Is there some reason why a movie...the vast majority of its audience not giving a crap about this show...should devote valuable screen time to explaining why he's alive? If he dies on this show...guess what...the Avengers think he's dead...and he's dead...there you go. Rather than waste time reintroducing Coulson in a movie, I'd prefer a film actually introduce Quake or Mockingbird or any number of the vast catalog of comic characters.

I get that a tiny minority of fans want this...I just dont understand why you think that this minority should somehow get their way, which would be nothing but an inconvenience and annoyance to the majority of viewers. If people cared to see Coulson, they could tune in to ABC to see him...and most Marvel fans don't.

Pretty much my thoughts. I'm guessing they'll have him as a small Easter egg for the fans, that doesn't take up too much screen time or confuse casuals.

The movies have mourned and made peace with Coulsons death. None of the movie characters has made a single mention of him. Having him reappear for fan service is unnecessary.

I get that May has earned a rest, and she might not even want the gig, but the idea she can't be Director because of her leg is a little odd seeing as Fury was and he only had one eye.
