This is exactly what Venom should look like. It's perfect:

This is exactly what Venom should look like. It's perfect:
No. No protruding tongue. Spider-Man 3 got that right, and this series should too.
As long as his tongue isn't extremely long like Toad's in X-Men I'll be fine with it. I wanna see Venom licking his teeth as some saliva hungrily drips from his tongue when he's fighting Spidey, as if he's getting a thrill from it.
Something like this picture is going too far imo:

Now that I think about it, Sam Raimi's Venom didn't look bad, in fact it was good, the problem was the entire thing around it: the bad Topher Grace acting, he kept using his human face to talk (that's the thing I hated the most), the Jurassic Park-related sounds from his mouth.
But, from a design point of view, I think it wasn't that bad.
To me, the tongue and pretty much anything Erik Larsen (or Humberto Ramos or his proteges) was a bad idea. My script idea has Venom stick his tongue out for a disgusting dirty joke involving Mary Jane (I'll tell you if you want to hear it) and then Spider-Man uppercuts him in the jaw, causing him to bite his own tongue off, and that's it.
Also, I can't see the picture.
Tell me the joke, I'm interested. Here's the picture again, hope it shows this time. His tongue is way too long:

Alright, Venom is taunting Peter about how he is going to kill him, and he says, "Perhaps we should quietly snap your neck, take your form, and have a good time getting to know your new bride (sticking his tongue out) in the biblical sense before she is any the wiser to your destruction."
And the picture is ridiculous.
That's great, it seems like an homage to when Venom snuck in Peter and MJ's home and MJ was there alone. Since Peter was wearing the black suit at the time, MJ thought it was him in the shadows... but boy, was she WRONG. I also like how you actually used "we" for Venom, instead of "I". That's one of the reasons I didn't like all of Venom's dialogue(Or his voice) in SM3.Venom looks cool in that pic. But jesus WTF is up with his tongue?!![]()

I would REALLY love to see this shot in the new series...

Agreed, I think the Raimi Venom looked quite good. But whenever Eric Foreman is revealed inside him is what messed him up.
Agreed. The shot of Venom's toungue in the alley in S-M3 is exactly what I think Venom should look like if he's sued again. His look was perfect in S-M3, IMO.No. No protruding tongue. Spider-Man 3 got that right, and this series should too.
Not sure how to feel about it.
I never really seen Venom as someone who has a specific style of fighting, just bare-knuckle brawling.
Spider-Man is the one with the agility and grace, etc.
