The Amazing Spider-Man If Venom is used again, this is how he should look!

That looks good.
I always remember the triple episode from the animated series of the 90's. The animation on those episodes were great (only a few selected episodes had a great animation team behing, Night of the Lizard was one, this triple feature, Enter The Green Goblin and one with Hydro-Man... oh man, I miss that type of animation)

No. No protruding tongue. Spider-Man 3 got that right, and this series should too.

As long as his tongue isn't extremely long like Toad's in X-Men I'll be fine with it. I wanna see Venom hungrily licking his teeth as some saliva drips from his tongue when he's fighting Spidey, as if he's getting a sick thrill from it.

Something like this picture is going too far imo, it's ridiculously long:

A tongue like this one, without the green liquid, is perfect:

Now that I think about it, Sam Raimi's Venom didn't look bad, in fact it was good, the problem was the entire thing around it: the bad Topher Grace acting, he kept using his human face to talk (that's the thing I hated the most), the Jurassic Park-related sounds from his mouth.
But, from a design point of view, I think it wasn't that bad.

To me, the tongue and pretty much anything Erik Larsen (or Humberto Ramos or his proteges) was a bad idea. My script idea has Venom stick his tongue out for a disgusting dirty joke involving Mary Jane (I'll tell you if you want to hear it) and then Spider-Man uppercuts him in the jaw, causing him to bite his own tongue off, and that's it.

Also, I can't see the picture.

Agreed. Venom's screams of pain should sound deeper, and perhaps have a human sound in them.

Tell me the joke, I'm interested. Here's the picture again, hope it shows this time. His tongue is way too long:

Alright, Venom is taunting Peter about how he is going to kill him, and he says, "Perhaps we should quietly snap your neck, take your form, and have a good time getting to know your new bride (sticking his tongue out) in the biblical sense before she is any the wiser to your destruction."

And the picture is ridiculous.

Venom looks cool in that pic. But jesus WTF is up with his tongue?! O.o

:applaud That's great, it seems like an homage to when Venom snuck in Peter and MJ's home and MJ was there alone. Since Peter was wearing the black suit at the time, MJ thought it was him in the shadows... but boy, was she WRONG. I also like how you actually used "we" for Venom, instead of "I". That's one of the reasons I didn't like all of Venom's dialogue(Or his voice) in SM3.

Thanks!

I would REALLY love to see this shot in the new series...

Agreed, I think the Raimi Venom looked quite good. But whenever Eric Foreman is revealed inside him is what messed him up.

Agreed. That messed Venom up more than the lack of muscles did, in my opinion. If they had kept Venom's face on, I think there might be a lot less complaints about Topher Grace's casting and performance.

What would you guys think about making Eddie Brock a Mixed Martial Arts fighter instead of a body builder? I think that add to Eddie Brock being a guy who has been to the school of hard knocks a time or two and can take a licking and keep on ticking.

Not sure how to feel about it.

I never really seen Venom as someone who has a specific style of fighting, just bare-knuckle brawling.

Spider-Man is the one with the agility and grace, etc.

Agreed. The shot of Venom's toungue in the alley in S-M3 is exactly what I think Venom should look like if he's sued again. His look was perfect in S-M3, IMO.

Venom is a bit of both. He's far from a unskilled brute, using all of the symbiote's powers to maximize his combat-effectiveness. An unforgiving opponent who can counter the punches and kicks that Spider-Man throws at him.

Also, it's a part of a larger characterization and character arc idea I had for Eddie Brock prior to him becoming Venom.

Can you post that shot?

Anyway, I would prefer a Venom with more muscles. He should be big and intimidating.

Venom's musculature makes him more formidable, displaying his power over Spider-Man. In that respect, Venom is like Bane from Batman's rogue's gallery, and taking that away is kind of like putting an average-sized Bane in The Dark Knight Rises (or a future Batman film).
