The Amazing Spider-Man If Venom is used again, this is how he should look!

I like the build of Bagley's Venom, but a lot of the other things vary. For example, sometimes, the teeth and the tongue of Bagley's Venom looked too much like the X-TREME Erik Larsen incarnation, and other times, they aren't too obtrusive and distracting.
Some of Mark Bagley's Venom at his best:

Respectfully disagree.

Blue coloring, three-fingered hands, tongue always out, and a rather poor looking symbol (in my opinion), he just looks poorly to me.

I'd just have Venom stick his tongue out once for a dirty joke.

respects to you for not being rude and disregarding everything i said and turn my words around :D

I agree on the venom being blue part. It completely phased me that he was blue lol. Yea i want a black venom.
Also, i LOVE that scene where venom and black cat fight. Its so cool. I want it to be in the movie.
And it got me thinking... What if venom kills her in the process? It can give spideey a reason to fight him and i woulsnt mind it as long as its in her 2nd movie and its not done naunchalantely

On another note i really lik that 30th anniversary issue:D i saw it at the comic store a year ago and picked it up for 6 bucks!! The art is SO worth it.

Spider-Man has plenty of reason to fight Venom. It's called survival. If Spider-Man doesn't stop Venom, then Venom will kill him.
No to killing Black Cat in the process. The point of the scene is that Venom is seeking information.
Here's the whole page:

Venom realizes that Felicia doesn't know where Peter is, so there is no point in continuing to beat the **** out of her. Hospitalizing her is fine, but don't kill her off like this.

How about the story? Isn't that the one where Spider-Man lets Venom, the murderous psychopath obsessed with killing him, go free because he promised not to go after his loved ones and instead murder criminals?

Am I the only one that liked the webs?

I just assumed they were there as a result of the symbiote keeping the original suit's...urm, basic design?

Hell, he even had the boots and belt.

I liked the webs; I LOVED what I THOUGHT we were getting in SpiderMan 3.

And instead, we got skinny non-consistent looking Forman whom the director wasn't passionate about putting into the film.

I pray that Webb sheds a new light on Venom if the first movie goes well; I pray earnestly.

yea i own this issue, ive always liked it. And i think peter is afraid of venom. I mean in those stories venom could easily kill spiderman and most of the fights spidey was running away! And venom had fun chasing him.
I also know that venom protects the innocent, but it was just a thought.

i just love the dialouge, and it was one of my first issues i owned of venom drawn by mark bagely.
Its just one of those fanatic things like oh my god.. VENOM! :awesome:
But yea i see where your coming from, i guess i was just blinded by the art that the story wasn't as important.
The story is very important for me though

I know that the lighting wouldn't happen, but I had an idea for a similar scene with a police officer investigating at an abandoned church. He's using his flashlight, which illuminates an unknown figure, standing close by. He sees the symbol, and the eyes in the light, he thinks he's Spider-Man in the black costume. He inquires, "Spider-Man?" Then "Spider-Man" develops an inhuman grin of sharp teeth and replies, "Close, but not quite. Say hello when he joins you soon." Then Venom kills him. Creepy, huh?

Man, that would be awesome!

That would be awesome. Since he probably wont be able to do it to mary jan i think anybody else would work too

I agree that Venom pulling his face back to show Eddie Brock's during the climax was annoying. Topher doesn't have a very menacing face, which isn't a big problem when he is Eddie Brock, but as Venom, revealing said face undermines the menace the character needs.

I like his Venom art as well, but that doesn't excuse the poor direction that Marvel was taking the character in.

Thanks for the appreciation, guys!

When the cop ses venom, venom should say something where he refers himself as "we" one thing i definetly love about him

The point is for the cop to think it's either Spider-Man in the black suit or someone else in dressing up as him. Then he is completely surprised by the appearance of the grin, and then he dies.
If Venom refers to himself as "we" before that point, it would alert the officer that something's not right.

Yea i meant for venom to say that after the cop asks if its spiderman.
Maybe like this;
Cop: spiderman...?
Venom: hes not here right now, but maybe WE can help you find him... Then the toothy grin opens to reveal a long tongue gleaming with streams of saliva

Nope. I want the cop to have no idea that Venom is any different from Spider-Man until it's too late, for a great amount of suspense. I'm not having him refer to himself in first-person plural yet. And no long tongue in this scene (he does lengthen his tongue at one point for a specific purpose), and no saliva streams for Venom. I just want the simple image of Venom baring his sharp teeth in a sadistic, inhuman grin. :venom:

If its a woman we can have venom scare the crap out of her like he did to mary jane. I pictured the scene differently then tyou did i guess

That scene could play out very well.

Cop: Spider-Man?

*We can just make out Venom's eyes in the darkness and glints of a body outline*

Venom: No.

*Venom steps halfway out of the darkness and smiles*

Venom: But close. :sym:

*We hear the cop scream*

Fade to the next scene.

:D

Villains are supposed to b evil! Not give their enemies girlfriends rides!

My version is a little creepier. I was thinking that Venom might instigate fights with street gangs and slaughter them to practice using his symbiote's powers.

Cop walks into the church, using a flashlight to illuminate the darkness.
Cop sees a large figure in Spider-Man's black costume, eyes and symbol reflecting the illumination of the beam of light.
COP: Spider-Man? [Nervous] Is that you? You're under arrest for the murders of the (insert street gang members' names here)!
*Close-up as Venom's lips open, showing a sadistic grin of murderous glee*
VENOM: Close, but no cigar. However, he will be joining you soon.
*Venom sends out a tendril from his costume which covers the officer's nose and mouth, we hear him trying to scream and struggle until he stops moving.*
VENOM: What a shame. He was only a day out of the academy!

There's also the version that cuts away right after after the grin. Tell me which one is creepier.

I like it except for that line. He could make a joke like that later on in the movie, but in the context of that specific scene and the overall mood of it, it would ruin it a little.

It could work though, depends on the delivery.

True. I guess I could cut that out. Perhaps cut away after the cop dies?
As far as the cop's death goes, I want the scene to be somewhat reminiscient of the scene in No Country For Old Men in which Anton Chigurh kills a police officer after being arrested.
Here is a video to show you what I'm talking about.
