The Wolverine has done over 400 million business on a budget of 120 million. So if Wolverine 3 happens, what story would you want?

Dunno about story but the villain probably would be Omega Red

Someone is framing Wolverine for a string of terrorist attacks and assassinations across Europe. A tip leads Wolverine and his awesome Asian "bodyguard" Yukio to Russia. After several close calls, they discover the true culprits, Omega Red and his ally Spiral. Both have a grudge against Wolverine from something that happened in the past and seek to destroy him in every conceivable way. Wolverine and Yukio must uncover what that is and survive Omega Red/Spiral's horrifying onslaught.

I don't know about the story but I want to see Omega Red!

Make it happen FOX!

With Hugh jackman's comments we may only see WOlverine again In full team films.

That's sad.I wanted to see Wolverine solo films focussing on:

A combination Alpha Flight and Omega Red.

The combination Wolverine and Jubilee and The Brood making it look like a sci-fi movie.I would have prefered Kitty over Jubilee but Jubilee being of Asian Origin would help the movie do better in China.

A Wolverine+Alpha Flight would cost like a X-Men team movie especially if the Alpha Flight has 5 members or more, then not only that, the villains would probably be a group of mutants/super-powered humans too.

If they will do a Wolverine 3 movie, it should only consist of Wolverine and 2 to 4 more mutants. That would help them save money and it would give them an easier time to develop the characters and spread out the screentime.

They have a number of scenarios available to them, including 'retelling' the story of Logan's Adamantiumization in the aftermath of whatever changes are wrought by his involvement in the past events of DoFP.

The list was not the best. Old Man Logan would not be a possibility considering that it is contingent on having the entire MU at its disposal. The Savage Wolverine is not an option as Shanna the She Devil would not translate to the screen. Namely, the feminists would become with enraged with having a woman in a bikini running around for the entire film. Taking away the Jungle Woman aspect of the character - which has its roots in the exploitation films of the 70's and 80's, as well as some of the literature by Edgar Rice Burroughs-destroys the character, since it is built partly upon a novelty. And the Mystique/Wolverine storyline could not be fully adapted due to timeline issues; the writer mentions the two having past experiences together, but FC's timeline jettisons that possibility.

^Thanks for the link.It was great to read the article.

I am not sure if it's possible to bring Old Man Logan to the big screen.

New Mutants:It can't be used as the main story in a film. But it can be used as a small sub plot in the main story. It can be a very touching story.

Alpha Flight:I think this can be made into a movie.Has a lot of scope.

Wolverine and Kitty:It can be done like a buddy cop movie.I would prefer Jubilee to Kitty though.

Madripoor:Can be combined with another plot to make a good movie.

Mister X:Would make a great number 2 villain and I am drooling at the sight of Wolverine going up against Mister X in a fight.

Savage Wolverine:Not sure if it's possible to bring it to the big screen

Get Mystique:Why not?Use it as a small sub plot

Nitro :Sub plot and a great fight. But an entire movie based on it isn't possible.

Enemy of the State:Problems to adapt it to the big screen

I think Wolverine 3 should mix a few storylines as sub plots and give us an entertaining film.

As long as it is entertaining,I don't mind if Wolverine 3 deviates from the comics

I can't see Old Man Logan being the logical next choice. It's another post-apocalypse story, which DOFP already has covered, and it's got too many off-limits Marvel characters.

Same with Enemy of the State. The article already points out that we'll lose the Daredevil fight, but again, it's also got Nick Fury, and the attack/crash of the helicarrier. They finally catch Wolverine when Captain America clocks him with his shield. They'd have to get reboot the Fantastic Four just to get them involved with the story.

Love both of those stories, but there are too many factors keeping them from being movies now.

Using the Alpha Flight story as inspiration would be a good way to 'retell' the story of Wolverine's Adamantiumization - like I talked about - but without rehashing O:W. If you added a different take on Kayla into the mix, you would also still have the link to The Wolverine with his memory flash of her.

Wolverine agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. vs cgi hulk.

It did say "based on." Not "identical to."

I think an Old Man Logan type film is totally possible. Huge plot points could be used to appeal to a broad readership without using any off-limits details.
- Logan as an Old Man. A very visceral concept. Anyone who knows Wolverine (which is a lot of people in the world by now) knows his physical age is slowed near to the point of immortality. To see him as an old man is shocking and really makes you think.
- Hasn't unsheathed his claws in decades. No matter the reason, he goes from being "the best there is at what he does" to refusing to do it entirely. Hearing that *snikt* again after all that time could be very satisfying.
- Wolverine with a family. It hasn't happened for him yet. And it seems to be all he wants. Never quite happened with Kayla, with Jean nor with Mariko. And it just gives him a great weakness to exploit. We all love Wolvie's revenge stories.
- Wolverine kills his friends in a bloodlusted illusion. Doesn't have to be Mysterio. It can just as easily be Mastermind. And he doesn't have to kill all the X-Men lol. He can kill innocent civilians or something of the like.
- Wolverine and his elderly sidekick [insert hero's name here]. Blind Hawkeye was a great choice for the comic. But there are plenty of mutants to choose from too. Raggedy old Gambit would be my first choice. But there's also Kestrel, Yukio, Colossus? Or someone entirely new.
- Barren badlands-esque setting. US doesn't have to be under supervillain control, but if there was some dystopian nature to the world a hundred years from now it might be kinda cool.

I think it's inane to say that any of those examples couldn't be adapted in some way. I like Old Man Logan a lot. I'd like to see some expression of it on screen.

Gotta be an Omega Red story for me, hopefully with Yukio along for the ride as well, but it is time for OR to be adapted for the big screen. Maybe Colossus could make an appearance as well?

Colossus would be a nice touch as the movie almost certainly would have to take place in Russia.

Old Man Logan would definitely work, but not yet. Save that for when Jackman finally gives it up.

For now, I really want them to touch upon Daken. It's too big a story not to tackle at least once, particularly if they play Daken to be as unlikable as he is in the comics. Seeing Wolverine take him out would be a crowd-pleaser, as well as an interesting development for Logan, him taking out his own son.

I also think we need to get Sabretooth in the mix. X1 Sabretooth had the right look, but barely any dynamic with Logan. XMOW Sabretooth had good dynamic, but that movie is the bane of my existence. I've yet to see their "relationship" get tackled in a satisfying way yet. They can bring back Liev Schrieber for continuity's sake, but as long as they buff him up.

Omega Red would also be a possibility, but I'm not a big enough fan of his character to know how they'd tackle it correctly.

As long as he either gets paired up with Yukio, Rogue, Kitty, or even Jubilee, along with anything I just mentioned, I'd be good.

^ You don't create a follow-up to a very successful movie and say that said follow-up doesn't happen in the same 'time-space' as the movie it's a follow-up to.

Mark my words: anything that changes with regards to current X-Franchise continuity as a result of DoFP will be limited and will in no wise affect the large majority of the events we've already seen.

If the rumored ending of DOFP pans out the next solo wolverine film could be
showing how he gets adamanturm In new timeline since events of OT,and most of origins and the wolverine never happened

so you may not be able to call this film wolverine 3.

Omega Red, Omega Red, Omega Red and Omega Red, did I mention Omega Red?
