if you had the chance to write the third film what are some of the things you would like to see!

its never too early to start a thread like this....it's always good to get input from the fan base

I wouldn't make a third movie. I'd wait 10 years and roboot the franchise and do the movies right.

Nope. Just 5 years.
Reboot for the 30th anniversary in 2014.

I would make the story a little similar to Generation One Volume 1 from DreamWave.

The Transformers are found one by one in the Artic and re-programmed to be used as weapons by the Army and the terrorists. But when Optimus is finally taken out of the ice, the Matrix inside him unleashes an EMP that runs over the entire planet, restoring the Transformers to their original state and shutting down all human technology.
Now the Autobots and the Decepticons fight for the only way to return to Cybertron: The Ark.

I'd probably wait a couple years and then reboot into a new direction with a new cast (including the voice actors, all of them, even Optimus - my main interest would NOT be to make a slavish love letter to G1), new characters and everything - I've only seen the first one so far and thought it was mindless fun, whereas I'm getting the distinct feeling that the second one seems to be just mindless. I'd also probably do a trilogy of films and then let the franchise be someone else's problem after that. :woot: There'd be traces of past incarnations of the TF mythos, though it would a new entity of its own not owing directly back to any one continuity.

The first chapter would probably be an espionage thriller set on Cybertron, with a novice Prime, Optimus, charged by the totalitarian governor Megatron with shutting down a growing resistance movement...and ultimately uncovering a plot from within the High Council itself to engulf the city-states of Iacon and Kaon in global war. Ultimately Optimus falls in with the Autobot resistance led by the Prime he replaced, Sentinel...which doesn't exactly help him when Sentinel later turns up dead at Megatron's hand.

The TFs' designs would be heavily inspired by the unused Transtech designs -

I haven't quite figured out what the next two films would be, except to say that the second film would bring the conflict to Earth...though not necessarily in the present day. And the Dynobots (NOT a typo in this case) would definitely figure into the second film one way or another (maybe have Grimlock in the first one).

I should make my own forums and call them RebootHype! lol. I've never seen that word used so much before (with the exception of the 90s cartoon)

I would continue where the story left off in ROTF. I would pick up the Decepticon hatchling subplot. And that also gives a reason to introduce new Autobots. Let's say a team of Autobot scouts (My dream? Prowl, Grimlock, Wheeljack, and Hot Rod) discovers Megatron and Starscream's Decepticon hatchery on the Nemesis. They could then go to Earth to warn Optimus and the rest of the Autobots.

Some stuff I'd like to see:
-New Decepticons: Shockwave, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Rumble, Laserbeak (that would essentially round out all the G1 Decepticons)
-Much more Autobot screentime in general, not just focusing on Prime and Bee
-Soundwave comes to Earth and kicks some ass
-More Arcee, Sideswipe, and Jolt
-The Twins can come back, but they'd have MUCH LESS screentime
-A major Autobot vs. Decepticon battle without human interference...perhaps in space?

Why the hell are you guys so obsessed with G1 and its stories? Autobots vs Decepticons over the arc.
Well, how are you going to introduce new bots in every movie? They will come with a spaceship? So why fight over the arc?
And why wouldnt anybody be able to contact cybertron for help?
Bay's franchise got off a great start in the first movie. It was dumbed down in ROTF, but it still has the values that make for more open scenarios.

Why reboot it? So that you can trap the autobots and decepticons on earth fighting over a spaceship (like they cant build another or call for help) over and over again?

And btw, that Transtech Prime desing is plain ugly!

I think the concept of The Ark being the only way for cybertronians to return home from Earth is quite mystical.
And the TFs shouldn't have the ability to build another ship just with our resources, like a group of scientists from our age couldn't build a shuttle in the 18th century.

Good start. :yay:

Especially Hot Rod. :woot:

Man, good point and let me tell you something. I never cared about the cartoon honestly, I never was a TF Fan before seeing the first TF Movie (2007) and I'm not much familiar with the original story (I don't really care that much about it either.). I have to say that I really enjoyed Bay's movies and the ppl who complain that it should be done like in the Cartoon or Comics can't see beyond that. No disrespect to them, but stop being such comic book nerds, plus sometimes I read some overchessy ideas on this forum from some fans which would make the movie ridiculously stupid. Perhaps not everything which worked in the cartoons or comic will work in the movie, so let them do it the way they know better. It's ridiculous to say that it needs a reboot just because you want to see some intergalactic fight scenes or a certain part of the story imo! It's just non-sense. Just my oppinion. I enjoyed Bay's movies and hopefully I will still enjoy the 3rd, even though I would've changed some stuff from 2.
