I for one think SV has run its course. If we are not seeing him transition into actually being Superman, I just couldn't see it being worth watching another season. However we are all different. Would any of you want to see another year or even 2 of Clark Kent before he becomes Superman?

It would be neat to see the show continue more. But season ten is a good place to end. It had a long and mostly successful run.

Only way to continue is if the season has Welling as Supes. Time for the Blur to move on.

If the show were to graduate, as it were, to being a fully-fledged Superman show with the same cast, sure, but then it wouldn't be Smallville anymore. The show, as is, has long run its course. That isn't to say that it's just been downhill since (insert earlier season number). In fact, despite ups and downs (for the latter, I'm looking at you, season 7), it's had an overall rather enjoyable recent couple of seasons. I do think that, ideally, the show shouldn't have run longer than 5-6 seasons (imagine cutting the fat and condensing the best of show down to a shorter run), but whatever. We've had ten fun years, and, though I'm sad I won't have a weekly Superman show to look forward to, I'm excited as all hell for the finale and to see the last decade of journey come to fruition.

If We Had Two More Seasons Then I Would Have Loved To See Tom As Superman A Bit More After S10. But The Show Has Run It's Course. So Bring On Cavill.

I completely agree with everything you said, and am like everyone else in saying that the show has run it's course. I have to admit that it's going to be weird seeing TW on a different show/movie (if that's what he chooses to do) doing something other than "whooshing" everywhere. With that said, I CANNOT WAIT for the finale. To see his destiny come full circle, and become the character that we all know and love.

Once the inevitable "Complete Smallville Series on Blu Ray" comes out, it's going to be fun to watch it from beginning to end. To see how he has changed and matured through the years, through the ups and downs of his journey. It's bittersweet and hard to believe that it's been 10 years and coming to an end.

If there had been no court order to make a Superman movie by 2012, we might have got two more seasons of Smallville, but with a new name like Metropolis with Tom welling as Superman flying around the city in Supersuit (That is, if Tom Welling would actually agree to wear Suit in each episode and I am almost sure he would not like that.IMO) :oldrazz:

But Show is ending after Ten seasons and we may get a glimpse of TW as proper Superman at the end, so it is all a good thing.

Webhead feels the same as Zorex's post, in other words. See Zorex's post above.

Oh.

I think It would be really interesting project to take some of the best parts from ten seasons of Smallville that could be included independently and make a stand alone 3 hour movie, it can be done if editing is done cleverly.

Am sure some one on youtube could do a fan video of the best stuff and try to edit it into a movie format thing.

Plus sv gets to have alot of highlight stuff too. First its the longest running superman show, second it once it finishs will be the longest running scifi/fantasy show in north america, then thirdly sv was a place alot of dc heroes/villains had a chance to shine in live action form who never had it before.

just because i am a batman fan, i would like the series to end with clark mentioning an interview he has to do in gotham city

Well we gotten gotham mention twice, bludhaven once, and as per chloe final scene with clark last week. She mentions having met batman, and ww so he is out there in sv universe.

Seeing the way they cram so much in this season, it would have been nice to stretch out into 1-2 more. However, with the Superman reboot movie coming up the show's ending is long overdue. It's best to end at season 10. However, I wish there was a Smallville animated series that would take place within the 10th season. :super:

I am sure Smallville will be missed, I hope that WW series is at least watchable and it lasts at least two seasons on NBC.

I would like to see Smallville's version of WW before it ends, so that we can compare the two.

I dont really feel the season is that crammed at all.

The ending is very overdue. I love the show and all, but they've already dragged this out way too far.

This show is WAY overdue for an ending. It doesn't even center around Smallville anymore. That's when you know a show has ran it's course - when the title doesn't even make sense anymore.

really the name of the show isnt a problem the show is/always been about clark kent and his journey into become superman. Plus also the sv name always had a part in the show even if it wasnt set in the town any more with being clark's nickname.

Saying that it is Clark's journey into becoming Superman is a bit vague. You can make a show about a twenty-something reporter named Clark Kent who travels the globel and use the same exact description.

In 2001, this show was sold to the public as Clark Kent's coming-of-age story. His years at Smallville. The discovery of his powers. The exploration of his origins. That premise, that storyline, pretty much ended in season 7. Seasons 8, 9, and 10 are like a strange spin-off that happen to feature the same title.

Once you have Clark in Metropolis, working at the Daily Planet, involved with Lois Lane, and fighting crime, it's no longer an origin story. He IS Superman. He just hasn't worn the suit yet.

i know though *****ing on name of the show is not much of an issue, since its just a name of the show.

if it got 2 more seasons I wouldn't want it to have Clark as the center, have him as a guest spot every now and then, season 1-10 is Clark, season 11-12 is Conner lol

never going to happen but thats how I'd want it, bring in Alison Michalka from Hellcats to play Cassandra Sandsmark (since she already works with Tom Welling) and boom, love interest and Wonder Girl......wont need Wonder Woman since she's getting her own show :P

If it did continue, I'd want it to continue as a Superman show, with the hero appearing at least as much as he did in Lois and Clark. I don't know what storylines they could have, although I'm sure they could think of some. It would be good to have a season 11 just for the sake of seeing how the public respond to this public figure of Superman who can fly and wears a cape.

I would've liked to have seen other guest stars from older Superman franchises that never made it into Smallville: John Shea, Tracy Scoggins, K Callan, Tim Daly, George Newbern, Clancy Brown. I wouldn't mind seeing the return of Curtix Knox (Dean Cain), this time revealing himself to be Vandal Savage.

Of course, the show would be difficult to continue without Michael Rosenbaum. He agreed to the finale, but he wouldn't for another season, which would get back to the problem of getting around the Lex storyline.
