For those of you younger than me, you probably have never heard of the planet Cronk.
Well listen well, for I have a story to tell: In 1985 a 12 issue mini series came out called Watchmen, it was heralded as ground breaking and indeed it was. Like all excellent works of fiction it was not created in a vacuum, oh no, eight years earlier a book was written by Robert Mayer called Superfolks. I was lucky enough to pick up a copy secondhand; after several comic creators cited it as Moores inspiration. This was back in the 90's. I was lucky, as I understand it the book due to scarcity is usually over £50 on the used paperback market today.
Anyway to get to the point. I was discussing it with a comic store owner friend of mine and he told me that it is about to be rereleased, probably before the Watchmen movie is released.
Check it out guys. You will not be sorry!
