TDK, after nine weeks of release, has the second-highest domestic gross of all time -- over $517 million. Titanic is still floating atop the list with $600.8 million. For you math geniuses out there, that's an $83 million deficit. And with the Bat-sequel only pulling in around $4 million this weekend, we've all got some work to do. So, spread the word! Let's get out in force to see The Dark Knight for the umpteenth time, and deliver a shattering Batarang blow right to Jack Dawson's stunningly gorgeous jaw.

Can we do it? Yes, we can. The Dark Knight has been in theaters for 9 weeks. Titanic enjoyed a whopping 41-week run. That long of a run may not be in the cards for The Dark Knight as the DVD and Blu-ray release are expected in December, but an IMAX rerelease has already been announced for January, so that's sure to help the cause. For now, the flick is still playing in 2,191 theaters. So, let's get out there and fill some seats, people!

Didn't quite know if this was worthy of a new topic or not but it seemed like it could be. If it isn't then it can be closed. I don't really think this thing will help the dark knight to beat titanic but could you imagine if it actually did?

I'm giving it my last boost. Me and my wife will be seeing it Friday night in IMAX for the final time (this year at least). This is the last weekend it plays here in IMAX.

Titanic needs to be dethroned damn it! I don't know why that movie made so much money in the first place. It was less about the freaking Titanic and more about a darn love couple I couldn't care less about. Can't believe my class was forced to watch it in Theaters.

I saw it again twice yesterday. I'm going again on Saturday and again on Monday.

Holy crap CFE, that's incredible. 28 viewings! :shock

I'm not sure I'll get to see it again until the re-release in January.
I'll be trying to round up as many people as I can for opening night part II -make that showing an event for sure. :woot: Sink Titanic!

I just sent out a mass e-mail/Facebook message/Myspace bulletin urging people to see "Dark Knight" a few more times now and again in January.

And I just picked up a pair of guys to see the film with me on Monday...which will be my record 30th viewing.

Titanic to be Re-released in Theaters!!!

AP--- Paramount announced today that they would be releasing Titanic for IMAX and regular theaters for it's thirteenth anniversary. The re-release will...

Nah... Just kiddin'. :D

:thing: :doom: :thing:

I plan to go see it again before it leaves theaters.

^That's cruel, Franklin...my heart skipped a handful of beats...

I don't see the point.

By now people need to realise that even if it did beat Titanic, it hasn't really, because it's just been done by people seeing it over and over again so it can beat Titanic, rather than earning it from the GP.

I just saw it twice, but I would like to go see it on IMAX. TDK isn't playing at my local theater anymore.

I've seen it eight times now, and it's now only playing twice a day at my local theater. A friend who works there said it'll be out sometime next week. :csad:

Uhhh...I remember girls and women that saw Titantic over and over and over again. They even took cold showers so they "feel" what Jack went through in the icy Atlantic. :o Obviously, you're talking about a group of obssessed individuals that turned their repeated weekly viewings into record $ for Titantic. No different than TDK at all, really.

...And I thought TDK fans were freaks

I think he meant that people have continued to see it only to give it a high box office, rather than for enjoyment.

Those showers were unecessary, I gaurantee that all those girls got wet watching thay film anyway

Is this the most you've ever watched one movie while in theaters? It really shows how the movie never gets boring though. I just never get bored of it.

I got ya beat CFE = 36 views over here. lol

And I plan on 4 more. Then my wallet officially dies. lol
