Illustration Programs for those on a budget.

I was flipping through the digital illustration magazine, ImagineFX (great mag with wonderful tutorials and free program demos - check out imaginefx.com) and saw that they had an article about cheap - if not free - illustration/painting programs for aspiring artists on a budget. gimp is a great generic version of photoshop i hear. you can even find tutorials and brushes on deviantart now

and on that note, deviant art is a great place to find free stock images, brushes and stuff
