I'm Not Messing Around, I'm Doing Important Stuff in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 61

The Brady Bunch features the best Spider-Man VA, so it gets a pass that Batman and Robin shouldn't :o
Ah, I love this debate because Spider-Man doesn't have a Kevin Conroy when it comes to voice acting. My Mt. Rushmore of Spidey voice actors is about as basic as it can get: C.D. Barnes, Rino Romano, Josh Keaton, and Yuri Lowenthal.

I always gave him a bit of a pass.
To be fair,
He was playing a version of. Lex who was Superaged from a teenager to an older version of Lex in a matter of seconds.
From his first line, he was just so terrible, lol!!!! I cringed when he started talking to Lana and was like yeesh, this dude is awful. Then when he got announced as Lex Luthor, I cringed even more lol

That’s not the one he was talking about. He was talking about the “teenager” one lol. The older one was solid.

So the new rumour now says Feige and Iger are clashing over the X-Men reboot, with the first wanting explore social issues and the later saying "absolutely no".

I am so shocked. :o

Where is this rumor coming from? Should we consider the source?

We kinda got that movie almost 30 years ago. He didn't do the Batusi in it but it certainly had the spirit.

When you really think about it, in the '90s we had big screen adaptations of The Flintstones, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Brady Bunch, etc. Is it really that farfetched to consider Batman and Robin as more of an adaptation of the '60s TV show? :o

You definitely have a point there. When people can finally accept B&R for the comedy that it is, the more it will be appreciated.

And yo, The Brady Bunch Movie and A Very Brady Sequel have NO business being so funny. It's sad people don't really talk about the sequel, that joint had gems in it.

And sir, surely you jest.

Christopher Daniel Barnes is still the best Spidey that ever did it. Better than the live action ones, better than the other animated ones and the video game ones. :o

I feel like the opinion on Batman and Robin softened a lot after TDKT. It was way more noticeable as a disaster way back but now that we've since had Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Batman, etc. let's just leave Batman and Robin alone as the beautiful mess that it is.

Barnes is great but Lowenthal actually moved me to tears with his performance in that first PS4 game.

Really here's no wrong answer unless you think the best Spider-Man voice actor is Tobey Maguire in the games based on his movies. Dude sounded like he was reading from the phone book.

What really kept the Tobester from being great was his inability to talk sh**. Like you are playing Spider-Man, from Forest Hills in Queens, NY, popping sh** is yet another one of his superpowers!

Which makes it all the more weird when you realize how much of a prick Maguire really is (or was?) off camera.

I think the only time I chuckled at any of Tobey Spidey's jokes was when he goes "Here's your change!" in Spider-Man 2. Not so much for the joke itself but more because he says it as he aims a bag of coins weighing at least 20 pounds full force at a man's head who has no discernible superpowers other than mechanical arms sticking out of his back. :o

I'm not much of a fan of the TASM movies but Garfield really picked up the slack in that department.

You mean Doctor Doom is going to look like Doctor Doom? Color me shocked.
I dont know, people have been trying to fan theory around him looking like Tony Stark for nearly a year. So I am glad he will actually have the scars. Even if I expect him to fix his face once he becomes God Doom

Doom is disfigured and cloaked and lives in a gothic castle. So I guess that is where the comparison comes from?
