I'm Not Messing Around, I'm Doing Important Stuff in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 61

Exactly.

This December switch just goes to show they're going to use ALL their Disney voodoo to make sure these two movies are back to back 2 billionaires.
This won't effect the Avengers movies. But F4 is now on an island on it's own.

Shinobi fun fact: The Wedding Singer is one of my favorite movies of all time and Sandler's best.

Oof, to hell with Fantastic Four vs Superman vs Jurassic Whatever, this new Marvel development has Doomsday opening on the same weekend as Dune 3 and then Shrek comes along in a few more days after!

Who's gonna win that triple threat match?

If this was pre-2020 MCU, Doomsday, but Dune 3 is a biggie.

I think it's possible given rumors over time that Doctor Strange 3 has a chance to come out in Nov 2026. They had a date for a Marvel movie for a long time there. And that's if rumor is to be believed have been in development long enough to maybe come before Doomsday in Dec. Outside that and Spider-Man, I cannot see anything else being possible

Imax says Dune won't move. Dune will get priority on Imax.

Looks like Iger is going around all the departments to embrace appeasement.

To clarify, they put out a statement about them not moving in regards to Avengers Doomsday moving its date closer to them?

Guys I'm almost 31 and I'll be pushing 40 when they finally get around to the X-Men.

@Sithborg said that IMAX said Dune 3 wasn't going to move. When was this said?
His point is they wouldn't move because they have IMAX priority. A lot of issues with these movies is it's seen films losing a huge chunk of box office because they lose their premium screens. Dune is plenty strong enough brand that it can stay put and reap the benefits of having IMAX over the holiday period.

I mean, its simple. Disney is going to want the Imax screens to squeeze as much money as they are going to need for these movies. Imax wants Dune more than Avengers. Dune is the Imax moneymaker. They will be putting 1 and 2 back on Imax leading up to Messiah.
