I don’t think so. Oz is already the kingpin. That’s what he wanted. He also has a councilman in his back pocket.

Plus it will feel repetitive. Not only because we just had a film with that subplot, but also because we already have a film with Penguin running for mayor.

I think he’s going to have his day in court and face off with Harvey.

That's funny, because we've also have had Two-Face's origin done on film already, as well as a Joker movie where Harvey Dent faced off against a Batman villain in a court room.

I am so damn excited for The Batman Part II. After The Penguins finale, I need it NOW.

I think we’ll get Mayor Penguin, but not until Part 3. I think he’ll be behind the scenes pulling strings in Part 2 and maybe run for a lower office like city councilman. Then in part 3, he’ll go full Trump and run for mayor, acting like he’s a true “man of the people” and attack Bella Real as an “elite.”

Fantastic finale! Hype as hell for The Batman Part II. I wish it was coming out in 2025 to keep up this great momentum.

I think we’ll get Mayor Penguin, but not until Part 3. I think he’ll be behind the scenes pulling strings in Part 2 and maybe run for a lower office like city councilman. Then in part 3, he’ll go full Trump and run for mayor, acting like he’s a true “man of the people” and attack Bella Real as an “elite.”

Yeah, The Batman, Part 2 is starting off right away in mid-late December. At this point, Bella Real hasn't even been inaugurated yet! Way too early for Oz still for him to supplant her as the Mayor right away, even if something happens to Bella in Part 2 that leaves a vacancy open for the Mayor's Office.

My bet is we see a more sizable time skip after the end of Part 2 and the next batch of spinoffs we see from that will help cover the bridge from that into Part 3, probably including both a Penguin S2 revolving around Oz making his proper ascension through the ranks in politics and a Harvey Dent legal drama that potentially covers Dent's efforts to take down Oz as the corrupt mob boss that he is BTS.

Because I'll be completely honest- IMO there is no way in hell that this Oz won't be the guy who eventually creates Two Face. Especially with both Carmine Falcone and Sal Maroni now out of the picture in this universe. I don't necessarily think that Oz is going to be the "main villain" of the entire saga, but I absolutely believe that he will be filling in for the general role that the Falcones and the Maronis all shared in the Loeb and Sale books, with Oz embodying the last vestiges of the old way of crime in Gotham City and eventually being consumed and defeated by the new generation of Freaks.

I would not be the least bit surprised if we see Oz ultimately stand in for Carmine for a recreation of a certain key scene from TLH in The Batman Part 3...

After watching it again, my opinion is still the same. I don’t think Oz is going to run for mayor. He talked about pushing Hady to the top, meeting his friends and wanting to “feel welcome” in the court house, but that doesn’t mean that he aspires to become Mayor. It just sounds to me that he wants to manipulate the system. That’s why he mocked them when watching tv.

Oz could be Mayor in the same sense that Falcone was while revamping the Iceberg Lounge and running drugs and firearms. He has accomplished what he wanted. He already sees how easy it is for him to make things happen just by having politicians in his pocket. To me, that makes Oz feel more powerful in his element to manipulate anyone.

Bella has barely survived an assassination attempt and become Mayor. TB2 will take place about a week or so after the series. I don’t believe she’s going anywhere.

Yep. It’s also a lot more direct and efficient in the limited screen time of a movie to have Oz personally, directly grabbing power. Plus with how Reeves talks about his intent with these movies thematically I feel like he wants Oz to be his Trumpian strong man analogue.

There’s a couple of interviews with Matt saying that is around where he wanted to it to start. The Penguin series ends somewhere in December and Matt said that it’s not quite Christmas when TB2 starts.

That was sort of my first take—I assumed a decent chunk of the audience wouldn’t remember that she’s the Mayor from The Batman. Lol I still think the shot she took in the arena would have done more damage than just requiring a sling but that’s movie magic for ya.

Maybe Mayor Penguin is the endgame for this character, but I just thought he’d be working more closer with the councilman in a potential S2 than running for office himself. He just needs to clean up his act, which he’s doing (killing Vic, getting the penthouse). I bet he takes over Monroe’s Jazz bar as the new front for his criminal empire in the very least.

I do think we'll see Oz at least attempt to run for Mayor before this saga is over, but I also think that particular beat is still a good ways off. Bella Real hasn't even been inaugurated yet and she still won't be by the time Part 2 starts up!

My bet is Oz starts to get more involved with the upper class and further intwine himself in the world of politics in Gotham in Part 2 and that that further sets the stage for him to run for Mayor in a later entry.
