I'm Reading Your Stuff: General News and Discussion Thread

according to the great prophet and the leading source for all DC, ApocHorseman, two (supposedly villainous) male roles are being cast rn with age ranges 30s-50s for the first character and 60+ for the second.
Was this another report or just on twitter?

I mean one of them's gotta be the head of Arkham Asylum, right? Jeremiah Arkham or Hugo Strange?

Give me Stellan Skarsgard, Ralph Ineson, or Jared Harris.

Source? I believe you, just not seeing it.

“Netflix will be the home for the DC Studios titles”….

This makes sense to me from a branding perspective, tbh. HBO is already basically a husk of what it was so being a little extra protective of the branding makes sense.

Now there are rumours about an A-list actor from F1 being offered a role, I'm assuming it's Brad Pitt. The casting for the sequel is much more entertaining this time around regardless if it's just rumours.

Yeah I actually like this development.

Call me a snob but I miss the “It’s not TV…” era of HBO lol.
I like when it has a mix of stuff. I loved shows lime Dream on being on HBO. I dont just need navel gazing White People solving crimes/having sex at villas after watching navel gazing White People kill dragons/having sex in fiefdoms :o :eheh:

There’s something kind of super depressing to me about HBO doing IP stuff to begin with. Doing ‘Sopranos but Penguin’ or ‘True Detective but Green Lantern’ instead of focusing on new, original projects that actually remotely live up the standards the network used to have just feels embarrassing even if they’re shows I like. Just such a sign of the depressingly IP brained times.

Brad Pitt? Damn, Reeves really just want to make Seven. :o

More seriously... I'm not sure I really want to see him here.
I realize that the franchise always had very recognizable faces, right from Burton's film with an already iconic Nicholson, but I don't know... As with DiCaprio, these are actors that I can't completely forget to see the character they are playing (I know, it's an unpopular take..).
