What did you all think of this line. The first time I heard Vinne Jones say it in theaters, I thought it was hysterical. I got the movie on DVD and rewatched it, and it seemed completely stale, along with 99% of the movie. Thoughts on this line that Rattner included?

I'm not a big fan of foul language, I don't use it myself; but unlike most of the Christians I know, it doesn't make me reach for the smellingsalts. That said, it was a funny line, fitting for the character. It didn't come across as stale to me at all.

Now if they would have included "Heeerrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeee's Juggy"?

I hated the line. It reeked of popcorn topped with cheese. It was a sign of Ratner's treatment of this franchise and of some of the corny dialogue in general. I can't imagine Singer allowing that line in his X-movies.

"Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning?"...

I actually loved the toad line when I first saw the movie  I was 12. But you know what, I think I ended up letting the public opinion take over me, because I seriously don't see what's wrong with the line, in itself. Maybe Storm isn't supposed to say these things, and it kinda ruined the character for more die hard fans, but I'm not a comic book reader and, considering TAS (which is where I come from), that was actually way better than a possible "Lightning, strike the ground with all the force of the nature!!!!". If you pay close attention and dissect it, It's actually kinda smart (imo). I remember I thought she was trying to give some hope to a dumb subject like Toad, that maybe lightning doesn't kill toads or something, to only crash him with the sad, uncomfortable truth.
It's oficial, I'm having my opinion now, and I don't have anything against the line. :oldrazz:

As for Juggernaut, I also don't see a problem. If it was in a serious movie, I'd have no problem at all too. After all, we had cats licking Wolvie's claws, we had Toad lines, we had "You're a dick" lines. This doesn't ruin a movie, or make it any less good, imo. The juggernaut line is the smallest mistake in that movie. If it was good, the last thing I would complain about was that line.
It's actually in character with the brute, dumb person Juggernaut is supposed to be.

I liked the line Storm delivered in X1 to me it was a pissed Storm after gettin whopped by him...it was that goddess attitude becuase Toad thought he killed her and she ended up killing him...LOL

The line by Juggs in X3 it was funny because that's part of his personality he has no respect for women.

The fact that the only good line he really has is taken from an internet craze kinda shows how far down the barell they wen't but it's still not a bad line, got a good chuckle out of the way Vinnie delivered it.

I'm say the line was hilarious the first time I heard it. Now it just seems pretty lame. Exact same thing goes with "Say one more word...I will spray you b****." I think the reason it was so funny was because it was pretty spontaneous and I wasn't expecting it at all.

I always liked the line, and I agree, it fits his personality. I know people cringed at it because of the whole YouTube thing that preceded it, but it really came off like something you'd expect the Juggernaut to say anyway (in the context of a PG-13 film, of course).

I hated the line. I'm not cynical, I just thought it was dumb. "I'll spray your face *****" was dumb too.

Loved Storm's X1 line. Its one of my favorite lines of the franchise. Like flavio, I was young when I first saw X1...9

Exactly, nobody was expecting a tiny little craze like the youtube video to influence a hollywood movie.

I was laughing when he delievered the line because I think I was the only one who got it.

I rolled my eyes in the theater when that line was delivered. It didn't help that the majority of the crapfest of X3 came before it.

i liked it, because knowing the youtube video it came from, i thought it was a pretty funny nod. i still enjoy the line.

I hardly can't understand what's so funny about that video... he's constantly repeating "i'm the Jugernaut, b¡tch"!. I prefer a zillion times "Scotty bear, wait!"... As for the line itself in the movie... if I didn't know it was a reference to the video I'd say it was a normal one... but the "wink, wink" was just pathetic, imo.

At least he said something. Unlike Sabretooth, who was a ******ed mute, oh wait, he did growl. "Do you know what happen to a toad when..." yeah, Singer would never allow corny and cheesy lines into his film.

If you're gonna call Sabertooth a mute you might as well call Juggernaut one also. Both characters had around the same amount of lines. What made you think Sabertooth was a ****** in consideration to some of the bonehead things juggernaut did in X3? Juggernaut couldn't follow simple instructions that Magneto gave him in regards to keeping Logan out of Jean's parents house. The ****** threw Logan into the house not once but, twice!!!

The line didn't bother me too much. What did bother me was that it was spoken by a horrible actor who was miscast for the role he portrayed. Tyler Mane is not much of an actor but, his performance looked brilliant compared to Vinnie Jones crappy acting.

To be fair, Sabretooth did do some unintentionally boneheaded things like dropping Senator Kelly into the waters below Magneto's base. That said, both Juggernaut and Sabretooth have been portrayed as complete idiots in almost every medium. Anyone who says otherwise is full of crap... so their subsequent movie interpretations shouldn't be much of a surprise.

Sabertooth couldn't hold on because senator Kelly's mutation affected his grip. Furthermore, Sabertooth has not been portrayed as an idiot in every medium. One bio I read about him suggests that he has pretty efficient computer hacking skills.

taking a line from a comedy site and putting it in a film is sad...

Being a computer geek doesn't mean you can't be an idiot, too. :cwink: :oldrazz:

Hence the reason I said unintentionally boneheaded... Magneto's response in the movie says it all.

A one time bio can suggest anything it wants, it doesn't change the fact that the character has been portrayed as an idiot from time to time... and he definitely has been in the comics, cartoons, and movies.
