I'm wondering if the movie's gonna be animated.

And the reason filming was so easily kept under wraps is because it was all motion capture. Didn't Jamie Bell also play Tintin?

I don't think Fox has the rights to release an animated Marvel film.

Maybe when it comes to motion capture in front of a green screen, and you credit actors as the performers and not just the voices it's ok. They were painfully clear about that with Avatar.

Anythings a possibility at this point in time lol

They might have the rights. Disney/Marvel can't use them in any animated movies they do, so presumably Fox would have the rights.

Something fully animated takes longer to create than live-action (or live-action with animated bits) so I can't imagine they could start this year and have a movie by next summer.

It's hard to say especially since there's no evidence of any sets being built and the only production photos were of Reed and Sue on their iPods, and a Thing bust in front of a green screen.
