Marvel's been willing to do this with Bendis, Millar or Brubaker at times (and DC does it with Geoff Johns), so why does it seem so strange?GNR4Life said:Well the good thing is that he will hopefully leave either ASM or FF to another writer. It would be ridiculous to give one writer 3 flagship titles at once, unless JQ really has a ***** for JMS.
How I wish he was writing Thor he was made for it.Dread said:Marvel's been willing to do this with Bendis, Millar or Brubaker at times (and DC does it with Geoff Johns), so why does it seem so strange?
Marvel'd LIKE Thor to be a top seller again, but the question of whether it happens is another story. Marvel, interestingly, denies that "name power" sells books, while simultaneously relying on it with some relaunches and such to sell titles. This is one of them. Oeming is critically seen as a better writer for "mythical" stuff, but the namepower ain't there. JMS, on the other hand, has namepower. But naturally, Marvel would never admit to that sort of thing directly.

I really wouldn't be surprised if JMS is the writer for Thor though. It seems like his name was one that was mentioned a lot with the project since volume 3 ended
